Just started flying mine.....but nowhere near so much power for a hand launch? Don't know what I am doing wrong, but if there is no head wind I rarely get it to take off.....
Hi Paull, have your removed the landing gears before the hand launching? We used the stock power with no modification in the video. The battery we used is 4S 2600mAh 45C Lipo Battery. However remember removing the landing gears first.
@@xflymodel2017 Thanks for your comments. I had not fitted landing gear at all and was using 4s 2200mah 60c and 70c batteries? I'm going to try 4s 2600mah next flight but don't hold much hope as they are only 25c and 30c? Not sure what else to try! Good of you to try to help me.
@@xflymodel2017 it seems from his videos flanker tanker has had a few close calls! Just waiting for weather - maybe tomorrow - for a final try.... Couldn't see recommendations in the manual as to what minimum c ratings are? Once again i do appreciate your efforts to help me!
@@xflymodel2017 tried to fly the red hawk today with 4s 60c and 70c batteries but absolutely insufficient power. First flight just got off, couldn't climb as had no power. Managed to land, second flight could not get off at all. Used the very same two batteries in my 64mm f22 Raptor and f18 super hornet and they both hand launched with ease and zipped around the sky. Must be a motor or esc problem i think?

@@paullepine476525C or 30C is not enuough for the hand launching but just about for the normal takeoff
