The building was home to The Swedish Engineers Society of Chicago from, I believe, the early 20s to the early 50;s.. The lower level (basement) had a bar, lounge area, and slot machines. The third floor had a mirrored ballroom, lounge and a bar. After the building was sold, members continued to meet at various restaurants well into the 1980's.
I have many fond memories of the time spent there.

I too fell hard for the first time in my life for a piece of property yesterday when I discovered the Dewes mansion on a walk. There is a twin designed house next to it.

I don't the the noise is what's to be expected - and I strongly suspect you won't be placing a bid nonetheless.

Is this House still available because I’ll be a successful rapper soon? This is my dream home and has been for 10 years now.

What is that noise in the background? If that is what is to be expected I don't think I will be giving a bid on it.

BEAUTIFUL design but it's too "house on hunted hill". I would definitely come in and paint with bright and earthy colors. The kitchen is ugly.

"The kitchen flows into a [lakewater?] area?" I can't make out what he said. Between the kitchen and the dining room there's another little kitchen, it appears, before you get to the dining room. What is that?
