"The One with Two Parts
Joey falls for Phoebe's twin sister, Ursula, making Phoebe feel neglected. Meanwhile, Chandler finds himself between a rock and a hard place, when he is told to fire an employee he is attracted to. Ross has doubts about parenthood when he attends Lamaze classes with Carol and Susan. Meanwhile, Monica tries to fix her TV after Marcel puts the TV on "SAP" function to Spanish, which she cannot turn off. After weeks of procrastinating, Rachel finally takes down the Christmas lights on their balcony, only to fall off the balcony and sprain her ankle.
At the hospital, Rachel, who has no health insurance, convinces Monica into trading identities with her so she can use Monica's coverage. The girls end up trying to date two cute doctors (George Clooney & Noah Wyle). Ursula dumps Joey but plans not to tell him, so Phoebe disguises herself as her twin sister to dump Joey and make sure he does not get hurt. Ross doubts that he will ever feel like a father. Marcel swallows Scrabble tiles, and Ross takes care of him making him feel like he would be a good father after that.

she WAS pretty every season and episode. Beauty comes from within. As much as she was pretty on the outside, she was creative, funny and her own person. That is just as important.

I find it weird everyone is saying Phoebe was jealous and wanted Joey. I never saw it that way. I feel phoebe saw Joey as a best friend and truly cared about him getting hurt. The boyfriend who was a best friend that Ursula stole and broke his heart was only an analogy for her fear that Ursula would hurt Joey. She doesn’t want to see her best guy friend hurt. And she was right in the end. Ursula sucked and broke Joey’s heart.
Joey had a lot of girlfriends and was usually okay after a break up. I believe Phoebe is worried that she will lose a friend.
Must be weird when your attractive guy friend wants to date your identical twin and not you.

I think it's weird that so many people think Phoebe was Jealous. She explained why Joey and Ursula dating bothered her and it totally makes sense to me; she was afraid to lose a friend because she knows Ursula is evil. I'm glad it all turned out well in the end.

I dont understand .... when chandler slept with joeys sister it was a massive deal for joey, when chandler slept with monica it was a big deal for Ross, when Rachel's sister came over she shouted at joey not to do the how u doin thing, when Ross kissed chandlers mom it was a big deal. So all of this, but when phoebe wants joey to stay away from Ursula it's not justified?

He got mad later cause he was just fooling around with her and didn't even remember her name. Same applies for Ross, Ross was okay after he found out they were in love and not just a fling. Idk about Rachel.

For the people that say Joey and Phoebe should've ended up together...as much as I dig the dynamic...wouldn't that be too much with Rachel & Ross and Chandler & Monica being a couple? Just having all the friends linked to each other just seems like it'd be too much.

Pheebs is my fave. Her own person, funny, awesome cothes . I get Monica and Rach were bffs since forever, but it seemed as if they ignored her sometimes. They adored her, but forgot about her, I thought, coz their bond was so tight Phoebe never said anything, it never came of anything, but been interesting if she said soemthing, what the other two said. It is the same off the show too. I read Ms Cox and Ms Aniston adore Ms Udrow, but they are so tight and she gets ignored by them at times. Dunno if that is true. As I said, was on the show at times.

What’s crazy is that in a early concept for the show. Monica and Joey were originally gonna to be the main focus not Rachel and Ross. And at the end during Season 10. Phoebe ended up with Mark and Joey was left without anyone. They could’ve worked something out with the two characters

Any chance the writers picked the name Ursula out of the blue or they deliberately did it because they knew that was the name of a Disney villain--thus they chose the name since they wanted Ursula to be the evil twin?
It was a coincidence. Ursula (still played by Lisa Kudrow) was a waitress on another show that I can't remember the name of right now. When Friends aired, the writers thought the viewers might be confused as to why there were two identical characters on two different shows, so they made Ursula and Phoebe twins. Ursula in the original show wasn't actually "evil", she was very flighty and ditzy, but not a bad person. I guess the Friends writers made her the "evil" twin because the juxtaposition between Phoebe and Ursula's personalities was funny. So no, it didn't have anything to do with Disney, it would've been a funny reference though :)

It seems just like Phoebe to have had a best friend boyfriend as a young girl. And just like the sad strain in her life that her unkind look a like stole him.
There's a great video by The Take on the dynamic between Phoebe and Ursula and how Ursula processed her trauma in the opposite way from Phoebe. Interesting idea--being reminded of the Judy Jettson thermos might have felt kind of passive aggressive to Ursula. She's such a strange character and if we think about it her sex work and avoidance of intimacy is sad.
Hard to imagine Lisa Kudrow also playing Ursula the waitress on Mad About you so many years. I've only seen some episodes that I remember but such a warm, witty actress playing such a disconnected character. Feels off, but for that show her performance worked.
How weird was it that in the crossover cameo they assume "Ursula" also waits tables at Central Perk. Uh, hello, waitresses drink coffee in Cafés after work too. How classist! Like, she could only exist as someone who's supposed to be serving them.
Kinda fun / weird fact: Kudrow was to play Roz on Fraiser. She's got plenty of range but Phoebe was so perfect for her, such a complex, loveably odd character.
It would be kind of weird Joey sleeping with Ursula after knowing Phoebe for awhile. Would he be thinking about Phoebe while hes doing Ursula?
