    Hello. As a man who just bought some second hand barbie and Stacie, I'm happy to have found this channel. there's always the fear of being rejected as a dude playing with dolls. I just wanna feel good by restoring something beautiful to it's original beauty somehow. The more damaged the dolls are, the more interested of helping them I get. And I'm glad that I'm not the only one who feel like this. Thank you.

      I know exactly what you mean, it can definitely feel alienating, as a gay man trying to navigate the dating world there's always certain expectations of masculinity, but I find the more passionate and confident you are about what you do, the more accepting people are going to be, and if they're not, they're simply not the right people to keep around!

      Have you been on r/Barbie? There's a lot of male or AMAB collectors and restorers on there.

    I love to watch your work on the Barbie dolls. I find the music and your voice a soothing/relaxation feel. The work itself is fantastic. I really like when you include, at the end, comparison photos of the start and the finished results.

    I literally JUST put two Barbie heads in a denture Tablet solution. How long should it soak? Should I add more tablets after a while?

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You should check up on them.
      Depending on how discolored they are it can take anywhere from 1 day to a week.
      I usually drop in a new tablet after 24 hours just to make sure :)

    WOW-UH about the nose fix - I did not know that could be done! I have a Brad Ken with a nose-tip issue, do you think it'll work for him, since he's black/AA?

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes it should work, as long as it's clear nail gel, it should reflect the color underneath :)

    I am getting prepared for the damaged face repair. You have not paint the nose knob right?

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on how nicked the nose is really.
      If it's only missing a tiny bit, see through UV gel won't really be noticeable, as it reflects the color underneath.
      If the doll is basically missing her nose, you probably do have to color match it :)

    • @DoeDeerWonderland

    Bubblecuts are my least favorite. I know that was a trend hairstyle back then, but it didn't leave anything for the children to play with having short hair.

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it's cute! The kids could play with them and pretend they were their mother or their aunt.
      It's a very "of the times" style so I think it's fitting
