Making information public for people living with dementia and their families for FREE is very important. .

Petra, yes it is very important to get the information and the training out to friends and families as well as professionals. Please check out our website, we have a lot of free and nominal fee trainings available.

Is there any resources in BC for people that have dementia?

Teepa, what do you do about a Neurologist who doesn't like to conversate with their patient much. It's like the ball 🏀 is on his side only. I've had him for about 5 yrs now
I do feel he is knowledgeable but I'm not feeling the connection. He started me on Sinemet last fall after several years of my bilateral leg pain that couldn't be figured out.
It's definitely working but he is hesitant to say it's Parkinson's. My other symptoms through the years have fit that criteria. I've always known I would have dementia.
It's familial on both sides. Last spring I noticed I was losing what day it was here and there then it built up to losing several chunks of days. Now it's loss of words for objects and names of people I've known for years. What if he doesn't agree with my symptoms? I only have state insurance and it will not cover the neuro psych test I wanted. Any advice would be appreciated
