Gosh, I almost bought the Premier big balls yesterday at Dollar Tree. There was only one color that I didn't prefer, but it is such a good deal at $5, I'm actually thinking of going back to buy the big balls to join in this CAL! Haha!

I'm in both groups and I'm looking forward to see what everyone makes. I've been working on a sweater for my brother's Christmas gift and I have used one skein and on the second skein of Pound of Love, but I will gladly put it aside to join in on the BIG BALLS crochet together. Oh my Jen, I hope Chris really is okay and hasn't messed up his back, hips, knees or anything else. He may need to go a get checked out and hopefully he doesn't have any gravel in any of his wounds. Prayers for healing.

Here in Ireland we have a saying when something goes wrong, we say " It's all a balls", I know it doesn't make sense but imagine it with an Irish accent. I thought of it every time you said balls, and when I heard Chris's story I said, "yep, his morning was all a balls" to myself, lol
I am using 3 big balls of pound of love yarn. Teal, pink and purple. Using Jacob's ladder. I have use 2 strands in a stitch before and it looks great

Hi Jen, hope Mr. Cinnamon heals quickly and glad he didn't get hurt worse. I have already started this challenge but had 5o put it down to work on my niece's blanket. My big ball challenge or MAL is inspired by Kayla's rectangle granny square blanket and her American flag blanket. I'm using Preimer Just Yarn Value in red, white and blue. I worked on every day for about a month before having to stop.😢 can't wait to pick it back up

How fun, I just ordered 8 balls of yarn for a blanket, so I’ll have to make a baby balls project, lol, I don’t have any big balls. 🧶
The purple & yellow would be great together I would love to have 1 or 2 of each color that size all I have is black in that yarn. I just watched Kayla’s video then came here to watch yours. Kayla cracks me up with some of the things that she says I just love her and you also. I have so many of the anniversary cakes that need to be used so this is perfect. I also have quite a few of the Lion Brand pounds of love. Sometimes it is the other way around and is the older people help the younger ones I have experienced this when I was 22 my car completely quit where there was nothing around except a mile or so back there was a road construction crew so I started walking and a truck passed me and a few minutes later it came back and a little old man and lady was inside and rolled down the window and asked if I was ok and I told them what happened and they said they were concerned seeing a young woman walking in the middle of nowhere so they came back because they didn’t feel it was safe “in this day and age” they said this was back in the 90’s so they gave me a ride to a phone to call my husband to come get me. So while on the way to the phone they asked me where I lived and I told them and the lady said her nephew lived in the same community so I asked who her nephew was and she asked do you know him and I said yes I have known him all my life since he is my great uncle turns out the lady’s sister was my great grandmother. A few years later when my great aunt passed at her wake my favorite great aunt came upto me with someone behind her and asked me do you recognize this person and I said I will never forget her as long as I live because it was the lady who stopped with her husband and took me to a phone when my car broke down 45 minutes form where I lived.

I don't know what it is with men. 3 weeks ago, my hubster, 67 years old, went out bike riding (he's done it EVERYDAY, rain or shine.) I went to Wallys for yarn, was out for 2 hours. Forgot my phone. Come home to find he's in the ER. Smh.

Hello Jen 😀 First, I so glad Mr C. wasn't hurt any worse than he was! What is it with men when they get older not wanting to realize they are not in their 20's anymore, my hubby does the same kind of thing, I am all the time telling him, "now look old man you aren't in your 20's and 30's anymore". Once you hit 40 that check engine light kicks on a lot, so you got to watch yourself! I mean I get it, it's not fun realizing you have limitations, but you have to realize it!! Second I love what you and Kayla have come up with! She is an absolute Hoot!! Some of her comments crack me up!!! I love her sense of humor and everything about her, such a sweet heart!! The Cinnamon Llama make a long 😄 the "Llama Cinnamon" just doesn't flow off the tongue as easy lol. I might not be able to join in right now but I will definitely be following along to see what everyone makes! believe it or not I think I only have 1 ball that is a pound and it's black lol. I am working on Christmas presents already as I am very slow so I have to start early to make sure to be able to get them done. I might have a ball of Premier Bloom chunky, we'll see if I can decide on something to join in on, that is usually my biggest problem, making the decision of what to make with what yarns lol. Hope Mr. Cinnamon is ok. It is funny but, it's not funny. I just finished up my last big balls. They were Premier chunky parfait yarn. Well never buy that again. What a tangled mess it becomes. One I pull from center and the second one I outer pulled, so much easier. Made a lap gain out of it. Soft and pretty burgundy color way. Have a great week.

I have made 7 large blankets in the last 4 months as well as other smaller projects using mostly the larger balls of yarn. One of the blankets was from 2 anniversary cakes. The last one used 6 maximum value skains and one just yarn big skain. I just started a sweater, so I may miss this CAL. But I will be watching.

Goodmorning!! I think you should use one of the colors you have 2 balls of as your base color. And then change that secondary color as you get bored. Maybe yellow as your base and then purple, teal, whatever you're in the mood for that day. I will most likely make boggy blankets out of caron jumbo.

I would do either the purple and grey combo, or the purple and teal. Or teal and grey. Those 3 colors are my favorite. Any combo of the 3 would be gorgeous. The alpine stitch would be nice. Not too hard on your hands, but eats a lot of yarn.
