Excellent work. I'm looking at the entire Honda Rebel work playlist. Congratulations. This motorcycle fork is a luxury and it fits very well. Greetings from Argentina.
I'm very impressed with your work, dedication and details. What was the original rake and trail, and what is now with the springer. I have a 1984 450 Rebel that I'll love to do the same convertion.
Yeah they do look really good! I could knock some up in the future wouldn't be to much of an issue. At the time I was fabricating a lot of parts and was trying to simplify as much as possible with the tools I had to hand.
Could you give me the measurements of the springs? I have a project for my virago, and I must say that your work has been inspiring for me, thank you for sharing!
may we have the CAD file for a better understanding. I will be building one for a BMW but I've never seen one with my own eyes to know all the parts and the details that I need to design before sending the drawings to the workshop.
GREAT WORK MAN!! Ran across your channel looking for a springer for a Honda Rebel build. Bike is for a young lady that wants a springer badly. Any chance of buying one of these from you?? Many thanks
Hello, thank you for your comment, Im not looking to fabricate and sell however I have created plans and instructions to build your own. link in the description.
haha the whole time I was building the springer I was thinking about the bars and I just couldn't picture anything. I may put up a poll and see what the viewers think.
@@dtaylo4517 good idea to see what other viewers think about the bars, z-bars can also look pretty cool and are easy to make to what height and width you want. 👍🏻😎😎
@@dtaylo4517 I had no doubts on your end it would work ,you do an amazing job . I just needed it to work out properly meaning not too much super fancy custom CNC stuff . I just have the basics
@koabd That was my aim, to be able to build a springer with limited tooling and equipment, the lathe isn't really necessary ie the bronze bearings can be found online . A drill press a grinder and some files and you'r pretty much sorted. Oh and a welder :)
A lot of monies haha, I really wouldn't be able to dedicate time to building, possibly in the future once I have decent workshop, it is something that has crossed my mind.
That's an impressive and well done job! Try to put a 21" front wheel (Yamaha XTZ 150 or Honda Bross 150 front wheel) or you can use the central hub that came with your motocycle and only buy the spokes and 21" wheel rim.
Hello my friend, awesome videos and skills that you have bro!! Keep the good work. I'm modding a gv250 as well, so it's kinda similar project to yours and you giving me so many good ideas. Thanks!
Brilliant fork build! I’ve been really enjoying your videos on fabbing them up and been really inspired to implement them into some of my builds. Any recommendations on resources to read or watch for fabrication?
Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed the content. Shortly I will be releasing the plans and assembly guide so keep an eye out for that, resources I used was the Chopper Builders Handbook website that was huge inspiration for me.
That looks amazing! Glad I get to see it completely through! Did you use original front wheel? Remember you saying something about it but can’t remember what 😂

Need one!
The plans are online for you to build your own, check links in the description.

I've put a link in the description for the exact springs I used, they have all the dimensions on, hope that helps :)
@@dtaylo4517 Thank you!
Very big and good job 👍
You're not wrong, many hours spent off camera filing and sanding parts but it was all well worth it.
You should be really proud of this well done, all in the back yard, good skills
Super happy how its turned out, the shed is where I do my thinking :)
Please sir, can I have some more?

Im currently putting plans together for the springer, will be available soon.

Looking good👍🏻👍🏻are you going ol'skool with ape hangers?😎😎

Also mate a tall sissy bar would go with the ol'skool look.😎😎
amazing job ! I was really hoping it would all work out properly so I can build one for my bike
It was always going to work out lol, super happy how its turned out and hopefully inspire a few people to make their own :)

How much money was spent on the whole project?
This springer looks amazing! Wow
The springs cost roughly £100 and materials another £100, plans are in the video description if your interested building your own.
This is coming along nicely 👌 cant wait to see it finished!
Cheers buddy, the workshop looks amazing! Im on the look for place with garage.
Dude, that is so freaking rad! It looks fantastic. Brilliant work, you should be proud.
Super proud, and great to have a supportive audience :)
Bom😊😊😊😊😊
What would you charge to build someone else this part?
A lot of monies haha, I really wouldn't be able to dedicate time to building, possibly in the future once I have decent workshop, it is something that has crossed my mind.

I have played around with the idea of now fitting a wider front tyre because the springer can accommodate it, possibly a future modification :)

The front wheel is the original but has a slightly larger tyre, I do have more room now with the springer so could go with an even wider front tyre.
