3 Broken Milling Machines Can They Be RESCUED for Profit?
3 Faulty Milling Machines, Will they Machine again? I bought three faulty optimum bf20 vario milling machines (Warco WM, Chester Champion 20V) with the aim of repairing and refurbishing two machines to sell to make my money back and end up keeping the 3rd machine at no cost to myself. The 1st machine had an electrical issue the 2nd a gear issue and the 3rd a minor issue with the display.

Ethereal junk cycle, if you throw them into the dumpster, the Chinese melt them down, cast a new one, which you can throw into the dumpster, once you're done with that crap, again..... You can spot it easily, good machines are worn, because people used them for years, because they were good. Garbage is rusted, because people dumped them, as soon as they could.
Not really unless you enjoy working for minimum wage most of the time.
Well, the sign in Germany say that they are drilling machines and not milling machines.
I don't know how much you paid for these but I doubt you will regret it. I have a BF20L same by longer table and I love it. Its a really good small mill, so much better than any similar lathe mounted version.
I have nearly the same mill, just the larger BF20L version. I got my machine for free from my former company because the dc motor controller was broken. Instead of fixing the motor controller i got myself a permanent magnet synchronus motor that was used as a positioning servo drive and a VFD. The motor has around 800w but is smaller and not much heavier. It works far better than the dc motor. If you want to keep the machine i can only reccomend ditching the dc motor. Make shure that you always have some way oil at hand and keep the dovetails clean. Also NEVER install a cold tool into a warm spindle. The morse taper will lock up hard and you wont get it out without a hydraulic press. The machine can do quite a lot if you use roughing mills for deep cuts but its not a deckel FP4 (the mill i learned on which is a little bigger :-D ).
Very useful info for me as I have one of these mills under a different brand name though. Good to see you posting again, it's been awhile. Subscribed to follow your springer fork project a few years back, will you be doing a test ride vid sometime, last edition was fitting the brake caliper.
i dont understand where the wire in the loom comes from is the stator signal and how do i find which wire that is
The wire in the loom was not used for that particular model. If you don't have that particular wire just run another wire.
@@dtaylo4517 find another wire that comes from where ? the stator or ?
Just run a new wire from the ignition coil to the rev counter.
String should probably be a bit tighter than that.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks
Glad I could help!
nice! I am going to need to do the same for my Shadow since I do not like having to look down at the speedo on the tank when I am riding.
I'm very impressed with your work, dedication and details. What was the original rake and trail, and what is now with the springer. I have a 1984 450 Rebel that I'll love to do the same convertion.
Thank you ❤
A little late here, saw this video several years ago. Glad I found it again, just picked up a free lawn mower with that exact engine. Going to do the same thing with it for a project I'm planning. thank you for the video. 👍👍
Measurements ??
I like the idea but I think I'm going to just modify my engine stand and use a lift.
I would have removed top tube n straightened headstock ,
Heat REALY is the secret ingredient
It would be easier to by the tool ,🎉😂
Bom😊😊😊😊😊
If you still have this lathe... turn the black box sensor on back of lathe up side down and you measurements/ reading will increase as you go towards the chuck.
I just replaced my chain and now my clutch won’t work. I’ve tried adjustments but it just acts like it’s not even pulled when I put it into gear while cranked. Engine dies immediately. Clutch lever feels normal.
Any updates on this project?
Currently building the same bike what air filters did you use. I can’t find any cheap ones that small
Nice coffe
English Tea 🙂
WOW. This is actually super neat and a great way to re use these old engines.
in my expections it may become softer in cause of changing angle. did you make the shocks harder somehow, and make tha travel shorter?
recently i asked a techy guy at workplace about measuring to the rims, and he looked down at me saying george, those rims can have hits of mm-s, which ends up more mm-s at distance. according to this measuring to rims is not an absolute value
That doesn't look good. And there not going to perform like a shock should have just bolted or welded a straight bar or pipe.
Excellent work. I'm looking at the entire Honda Rebel work playlist. Congratulations. This motorcycle fork is a luxury and it fits very well. Greetings from Argentina.
Good...simple idea
I know this is an older video but I am remaking the seat on my 1980 gs750L and your videos on the seat build are exactly what I needed to see! Thank you.
Glad I could help
Odds you are gonna see this while i am in the hw store are low, but what size spark plug socket did you use?
What did you use to get electronic rpm signal? What kind of sensor? My 78 gs750 had a rpm cable
Explained in the video
That looks good! How does she ride ow?
Getting em out is the easy part.. can do that by hand no matter what head it is.. i use a dye holder from a tap set, and a socket that fits inside that with a magnet inside the socket.. putting those little bastards bAck in kills me every time and i always gotta do it on damn 32 or 16 valve heads..
The 88-95 Shadow 600s are still my favorite
Wow… I just binged watched the whole thing too. I am blown away with your build. That is the coolest springer front end. I would kill for a springer for my Rebel. Awesome job. I hope updates come in the future.
GREAT WORK MAN!! Ran across your channel looking for a springer for a Honda Rebel build. Bike is for a young lady that wants a springer badly. Any chance of buying one of these from you?? Many thanks
Hello, thank you for your comment, Im not looking to fabricate and sell however I have created plans and instructions to build your own. link in the description.
@@dtaylo4517 Awesome, many thanks!!
Thanks for the video! Looks like a great upgrade.
How long did the forks end up being, from end to end? I'm planning to build my own motorcycle, and I'd love to know if this would match up with my existing plans. Thanks!
Link in the description to the plans, all dimensions available.
Una consulta de qué diámetro es la varilla que usaste para enlazar el rearset con la palanca de cambios??
Great bike!!!
Muito bom ! obrigado!!! Brazil!
De nada
Nice
"unloved" Lmao, are you kidding me? The vr600 is the most customized bike around
From a condition perspective ie the bike was in poor condition and unloved.
Also the chain flange tools you definitely can’t go cheap, they are an absolute pain in the rear
Not wrong there! Ive since binned it very poor quality, I'll probably make one at some point, another project on the horizon.
I’m currently rebuilding a 1977 gs750 as a personal project and I wish I started recording from the jump but I stumbled across your channel and I think I may start up a new channel following my build now.
zip it off with a impact gun. problem solved.
And...if you don't have an impact gun?
Thank you for this video series. I have done pretty much everything you can do to a CB750, just picked up a 78 GS750, suzuki is a foreign world to me, these are a great help
Thank you and good luck with your build.
hello; Are the plans you suggested for Honda Shadow 600 suitable?
They could be made to work for shadow.
Are the dimensions of pipes and other parts included in the file? @@dtaylo4517
@@gokhanylmaz291 Yes all parts are dimensioned.
Is the 3D drawing in the video available so that I can cut these parts, except the pipes, on CNC? Thank you 🤗❤️
@@gokhanylmaz291 Plans are available, there are no 3d files.
