I’ve had my original purple mattress for 4 years now. It’s the shit. Not too firm, not too soft, and keeps you cooler than a memory foam mattress would. Highly recommend to back/side sleepers.

Purple is the one mattress I would recommend to everyone you don't need a special number it just works, going on two years now still feels like a brand new mattress no lumps no divots just amazing, just know it is an investment but it is a worthy one and they do stand behind their product which you can't say for most companies

Bought one for my mom due to her GERD getting horrid lately and no stiff mattress would work for her electric remote elevating bed. It was the best bed investment I ever did. She sleeps better now and I'm not so worried about her choking at night as much.

As furniture delivery person in Texas, we bring back quite a few of these for 2 reasons , the foam border comes detached from the purple grid and the most common reason is that it traps the heat in the foam, in hot weather.
I owned a purple mattress, but it was actually terrible. When we would roll on our side, the mattress' tiny jelly frame would squish over on its side rather than compress properly. It was not easy to sleep on. We had it for the recommended trial time, to get "used to" the mattress, but it was not good. Also, they did not accept returns so we had to find another way to get rid of it and show proof we got rid of it so we could get a refund
I freaking HATE my purple mattress as well. I was pregnant when I got it, so I kept it passed the return date because I thought that the reason it felt uncomfortable might be because I was just generally uncomfortable anyway. I regret keeping it! Wayyy too expensive for such a terrible and uncomfortable mattress (IMO)
This exactly. Compressable mattresses like these that are shipped in rolls are actually really terrible for people sleeping 2 or more. It compresses so much that the lighter person has to counterbalance the other person’s weight with uncomfortable positions/muscular use. They’re so popular because of marketing but they are absolutely horrible for your back. Spring mattresses will always be far better, and worth way more than these crappy mattresses.
It is literally them making a "test" that their product passes but most (more supportive) mattresses will not. It not only doesn't in any way indicate a better mattress, it if anything shows that it will not support appropriately for things like people with back issues.
Does the mattresses still have the issue of the plastic/rubber dust? They sent a cease and desist to someone who pointed it out, as it could be a health concern, was last I ever heard about the dust of those purple mattresses

We have a purple mattress and we honestly really like it. I could see how it’s not for everyone but I have back problems and I sleep a LOT due to illnesses and I’m still satisfied over a year later 🤷🏻♀️
i had one of those a while back, and i suggest washing it extremely thoroughly several times before using it. it has tiny plastic micro-particulates that are left over from manufacturing and can easily cause breathing and respiratory disorders if you sleep on it without its cover (or if the cover is somehow torn up)
Be careful with their customer service dept, they’re sneaky. If you call to ask where to return the mattress if you don’t like it, they tell you “give it a month, you need a month to get used to it” well…per their return policy you have 1 month to return it….so their customer service are trying to force people to pass their 1 month purchase date 😂

My friend got one of these a few years ago. It is extremely comfortable! It does take your body a little to adjust , just like with any new matress. Completely worth it in my opinion

Miss my purple mattress so much! It was the literal best, not too firm or soft, never woke my partner while I tossed and turned or got up. I wish there was a way to transport them better tho like if it rolled up the way it does when you get it, it would be so much more convenient. We had a king so it was heavy af and super big and just a nightmare that move.

The purple pillow is my fav pillow. I bet I would enjoy a mattress from them, but I really like soft and warm, blasting the fan/ac. But I’ve been homeless for 2 years, benches and bushes. It’s not as bad as it seems, but I’m reminded from staying in hotels how nice mattresses really are.

My gf and I picked up the 3” queen and it was the best choice we ever made. Whenever we go on vacation to our place on the east coast we keeping saying we can’t wait to get back to it lol. Eventually we’re getting one for there too
I'm a Twin XL customer my experience with the mattress has been simple, straight to the point, sleep. It's not a ridiculously comfortable mattress so when you wake up, you're up. It doesn't motivate you to snooze the extra 15 minutes, which I appreciate. And after a work day it's perfect to dive into and doze off very quickly. It's a top tier basic mattress imo.

I had a purple mattress and loved it, but long story short the floor in our little basement apartment got damp for some reason and we didn't have a frame since we just moved, so it molded the mattress before we noticed. We took off the cover & the gauze-like casing like they did in this video but our mattress was filled with this horrible white fluff that was itchy and covered every surface in our apartment for weeks. Looking back, I think it mightve been some sort of insulation and was definitely not safe to be breathing. We had to isolate my cat in the bathroom while we deep cleaned, trying to get as much of it vacuumed up as possible. We tried to treat the mold to no avail and had to get a new mattress after sleeping on the floor for 3 weeks 🙃 But yeah, idk what was wrong with ours vs the one in the video, but if you have one, don't take off the gauze casing, and probably don't take off the cover unless you have to. Definitely a potential safety risk.

Exactly what I'm hoping for after recently testing all of the Purple mattresses & was REALLY amazed at how much pressure relief it provides & how incredibly easy it is to move around on the Purple 3. I've been "stuck" on the Casper (teaching me that I absolutely HATE foam that traps or limits free movement, especially while in sleep state; to likely be straining myself more so than when awake & also causes too much heat). The Purple 3 was SO impressive & movement was effortless & almost moved FOR me when I simply leaned in different directions. I'm afraid to pass it up. It's definitely a costly purchase/investment, so I was hoping for some miraculous super sale, alternative amazing mattress or something, but I really can't take the Casper with the recent change to summertime heat (it was pretty cold in the house during the winter & spring). I can't afford to keep running the A/C enough to keep from overheating. I'm breaking down, because the suffering & higher A/C bill is almost as painful as the concept of the high cost of the Purple 3 purchase. I can easily imagine the value of each awesome night of sleep would be worth it, especially, after sleeping on the hardest, cheap & horrible mattress, that my former landlords had in my "room for rent" situation (which appropriately had horrendously poor reviews), making my bursitis worse (so praise the LORD, the Casper has been good for THAT relief). I'm still researching to see if there's another comparable mattress that's less expensive. It WAS a gloriously comfortable mattress (like a dream of comfort). Thank you, again, for the information. I have on this mattress for about 6 months and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me you have to get one it is life-changing and it's a long-lasting bed which is worth your money. It is an expensive bed but hear me out you won't have to spend that much ever again because that's how good the material is it's never going to sink in like your average mattress

My friend got one of these a few years ago. It is extremely comfortable! It does take your body a little to adjust , just like with any new matress. Completely worth it in my opinion

Miss my purple mattress so much! It was the literal best, not too firm or soft, never woke my partner while I tossed and turned or got up. I wish there was a way to transport them better tho like if it rolled up the way it does when you get it, it would be so much more convenient. We had a king so it was heavy af and super big and just a nightmare that move.

@@krispycream4166 surprisingly, phones are basically necessary to do anything nowadays. a phone can get you applied to jobs, get curbside orders if a business doesn't want to let you in, help you navigate, stay in contact with friends or family, receive donations, manage a bank account, buy public transit tickets, keep updated on weather forecasts and other safety events... all with a device someone could have had before they were homeless, or saved up for a while to buy because it's beyond useful.
plus, homes are f*cking expensive. you can afford a phone without being able to afford a house. you can have SOME money and be able to make SOME purchases and still not be able to make a down payment on rent, or nobody will accept you because you don't currently have a residence.
and yes, even people you believe are (or should be) spending every waking second suffering are allowed to take some time to watch TH-cam.

I'm a Twin XL customer my experience with the mattress has been simple, straight to the point, sleep. It's not a ridiculously comfortable mattress so when you wake up, you're up. It doesn't motivate you to snooze the extra 15 minutes, which I appreciate. And after a work day it's perfect to dive into and doze off very quickly. It's a top tier basic mattress imo.

I had a purple mattress and loved it, but long story short the floor in our little basement apartment got damp for some reason and we didn't have a frame since we just moved, so it molded the mattress before we noticed. We took off the cover & the gauze-like casing like they did in this video but our mattress was filled with this horrible white fluff that was itchy and covered every surface in our apartment for weeks. Looking back, I think it mightve been some sort of insulation and was definitely not safe to be breathing. We had to isolate my cat in the bathroom while we deep cleaned, trying to get as much of it vacuumed up as possible. We tried to treat the mold to no avail and had to get a new mattress after sleeping on the floor for 3 weeks 🙃 But yeah, idk what was wrong with ours vs the one in the video, but if you have one, don't take off the gauze casing, and probably don't take off the cover unless you have to. Definitely a potential safety risk.

Wow. I wasn't aware of that. Thank you for the information. Exactly what I'm hoping for after recently testing all of the Purple mattresses & was REALLY amazed at how much pressure relief it provides & how incredibly easy it is to move around on the Purple 3. I've been "stuck" on the Casper (teaching me that I absolutely HATE foam that traps or limits free movement, especially while in sleep state; to likely be straining myself more so than when awake & also causes too much heat). The Purple 3 was SO impressive & movement was effortless & almost moved FOR me when I simply leaned in different directions. I'm afraid to pass it up. It's definitely a costly purchase/investment, so I was hoping for some miraculous super sale, alternative amazing mattress or something, but I really can't take the Casper with the recent change to summertime heat (it was pretty cold in the house during the winter & spring). I can't afford to keep running the A/C enough to keep from overheating. I'm breaking down, because the suffering & higher A/C bill is almost as painful as the concept of the high cost of the Purple 3 purchase. I can easily imagine the value of each awesome night of sleep would be worth it, especially, after sleeping on the hardest, cheap & horrible mattress, that my former landlords had in my "room for rent" situation (which appropriately had horrendously poor reviews), making my bursitis worse (so praise the LORD, the Casper has been good for THAT relief). I'm still researching to see if there's another comparable mattress that's less expensive. It WAS a gloriously comfortable mattress (like a dream of comfort).

I’d actually like to say that the ione big problem is that outer foam layer will separate from the rubber part and the springs will pop out so make sure to sleep in the center
If it’s the OG mattress, there are no springs, and if it’s a newer one, then each spring is individually wrapped to avoid any noise or discomfort.
Think about it. Where would the springs be when the mattress is all rolled up tightly at the beginning of the video. It's all soft materials, no springs.

I have on this mattress for about 6 months and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me you have to get one it is life-changing and it's a long-lasting bed which is worth your money. It is an expensive bed but hear me out you won't have to spend that much ever again because that's how good the material is it's never going to sink in like your average mattress
