  • Sucking The Guts Out Of Life - Making the most of a wet weekend in south west WA, I headed into Lake Jasper then Black Point and had the entire area all to myself. No such thing as bad weather, just bad preparation...oh and bad drone flying!!!

    GC...you my friend are seriously a true blue Aussie bloody legend! I didn't have a bloody clue about some of those places and will say... you are the best dam tour guide this country Australia has! Tourism Australia is about to learn about you :) Keep up the awesome vids mate, you are on a serious winner here, even solo, the level of entertainment you provide shits on all other similar type trips from others which am sure you got my drift. Noticed you have HF antenna and others ones on the GU... is that for RFDS and 27mhz AM/SSB skip following? Also do you leave the Coms on while parked up, quietly running scan in background monitoring for any SOS callouts also? Mate, if ever need a very quiet self contained tag along assistant landscape photographer...am back on fb 😉 Well done fella.Cheers, Frank.

      It even happens to the pro’s i guess. As long as you don’t flip the vehicle, it’s just a matter of using the winch. But it’ dangerous indeed if you get really stuck. Nobody is there.

    Well where do I start... Great to see the Patrol getting some klicks on its speedo, was awesome to see the non commercial side of you Graham, don't ever lose the passion for why you go bush. The only negative to this video was the volume level that the music kicked in at... The formula that you thrive off is what keeps people coming back, a day spent off road is a day bloody well spent!!! The difference between a Porsche and a Patrol... yes the Porsche can go fast but the Patrol can go everywhere...

      I still think they have great content though... I used to love All 4 Adventure too once upon a time... now you have to pay for it on Unleashed TV and all you see on TH-cam is short 2 or 3 min promos or gear clips... I absolutely appreciate the generous content still available on TH-cam by 4WD Action - warts (product placement etc) 'n all!

    Would a 2016 D-max be able to tackle that sort of territory? I’ve heard it has traction control and an automatic transmission that just guides the car to where ever it should go. The wife isn’t so keen. She reckons they’re shit.

    • @tjbognar1990
      @tjbognar1990 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Mate that Dmax will take you to a lot more places than you and your wife thought possible! Good set of tyres and let the air out a bit when you get off road you'll be sweet as :)

    • @jamiemackie9416
      @jamiemackie9416 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’ll go fine, like the others said get a lift and some decent tyres and you’re set. I’ve just got a battered old bottom of the line Hilux and it’s got me everywhere I’ve ever pointed it. No need to spend a fortune to get out there.

    • @mini_steve
      @mini_steve 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not entirely sure about the auto and traction control in the D-max mate. Might have to ask Graham about it 🤣

    • @twostrokeandsawdust
      @twostrokeandsawdust 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've had a 15 dmax LSU for 3 years now, manual, 2 inch lift, tune, and 32's. Gets me everywhere my brother's patrol wagon goes. Never missed a beat, I tow loads every day, done 130,000 KMs, sand, mud rocks, clay, mine sites, handled everything Ive thrown at it, only thing I've had to replace is the idler pulleys on the belts... they don't like puddles and mud.

    • @darthvader8433
      @darthvader8433 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      A DMax would walk it to the places on these videos. Just remember air pressures.
      I go camping with our club around these places (I'm in a 4" lifted GQ) and nobody has dramas with even a standard 4wd. A Subaru might be stretching your luck, but any offroader including the DMax - no problem.

    Sorry mate. But I think your time at 4wdaction should end and just focus on AUSolo. Awesome content and so down to earth and real. My only complaints are that you don't make enough of them and not long enough (They probably never will be long enough. You could make a feature length film and we would still complain its too short, Its that good). I'm sure if you started a Patreon page you wont lack for supporters to enable you to continue to produce this amazing content. Super inspiring. Keep up the amazing work

    • @bushmanbob1982
      @bushmanbob1982 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Na. I get that having a camera crew would make it tonnes easier. But what makes Graham's videos so epic and uniqe to everyone else is that he does do everything by himself. Its just him his cameras and raw unbridled passion for adventure. And i feel having someone else along would take away some of the magic that he creates. Ronny Dahl already has the crew and a great assistant and makes awesome content both touring and advice and tips. But thats Ronnies thing, and i love watching it. 4XOverland also produces great content that i enjoy watching and while he does alot of solo trips does everything him self and clearly see that he loves it. Its presented differently and a bit more...Clinical or sterile? Hard for me to explain. Its enjoyable but different and also uploads a variety of content. Graham is unique in the way he presents. The passion he expresses is like a kid in a candy store and its contagious. It makes me want to dash out the door before the video has finished and head bush even if its 11.30 at night. Most other youtubers are more restained with their passion. They all do amazing videos but i wouldnt want Graham to change a single thing, even though it is more work. Even his outtakes of running up and down the tracks after his cameras is awesome. Put all that together and Graham in my opinion creates some of the greatest 4wd videos in australia. If i wanna see modified, or advice or convoy touring, Ill go watch Ronny or Andrew or Gavin Gillet. But i get more excited when i see another Ausolo video dropped of Graham on another adventure just by himself

    Hay from the UK again! Graham can you or anyone else please tell me who did the acoustic guitar solo/song at around 14:16 onwards (camp scenes). Words fail me...stunning piece of music.

    Great stuff Graham! As for the "humps" at 22 min, here in the US we call them "whoops", or "whoop-di-dos".

    What's funny is that if someone nearby didn't know you were recording everything he'd just think you're some crazy old man talking to himself

    Have to say... loving these Solo adventures mate. Born and bred West Ozzie that’s never seen much of the south west... in fact I have seen bugger all if I am to be honest... this really makes me want to get out set the Dmax in low4 and just explore. Seen some of the best parts of West Oz The Pilbara the Kimberley the Goldfields and Midwest but looking to explore the rest. Keep these coming and let me know where the best Redfin spots are... 😉 oooh and just a quick question when’s Ep 2 of Offroadography coming out.... just bought a little D5600 and be keen on learning a bit more from someone that seems to know what he’s talking about. Thanks for inspiring me mate!

    Haha, Graham, you said "throthing to hit some bush" so many times. Is that like "throthing at the gash" (Urban dictionary). Lol.

    Great video as per usual, great guy, easy to watch, however I think you need to experiment with music and volumes, the song was too summery and hard to listen to, and the volumes were off. I had to turn down my iPad down 3 bars whenever the music started
