    Neighbours connected by a causeway, sharing the waterways that separates the 2 states. Malaysia and Singapore share common ground when it comes to the unique worship of Datuk Gong and Datuk Keramat. Through the processing of learning about the identities of Datuk Gong and Datuk Keramat, steers us towards being inclusive, open to different interpretations of various religions and cultural aspects of the country we call home.

    As a Malay who's delving into various religious traditions out of curiosity, this one is really interesting. I really wanna learn more about South east asian chinese spiritual traditions.

    Nice video about these VIPs. There was once a friend and I drove to Ampang in search of DGs and saw some shrines on the other side of the street. We stopped to eat but when we drove back up the way we came we couldn’t see the shrines anymore. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We joke that the DG all decided they’d had enough of me snooping round their shrines. Btw, I do make it a point to say hello and greet them before I take pics.

    For the keramat at kusu Singapore... its nice to see other races and religions coming to pray. Islam is for all not only for the Muslims or malay. But its sad that it became abit to chinese for me No offence because the place is being decorated more like a chinese temple then a keramat. I feel like its loosing our culture and and religion. Its fine to burn incense and flowers as thats what malay people do. Now people asking and writing for 4d and 4d in islam is actually haram (or forbidden) puting red cloth instead of yellow or green. Putting alcohol and joss paper. Its sad to see we are loosing our culture. My advice of going to keramat. Bring incense, flowers, and food. (Ask the caretaker to do a special doa (prayer) after that u guys can donate the food for people to eat. dont stop going to keramat. Its a good pray hard and stay healthy! Salam from Singapore! :)

    • @SlyzMarketer
      @SlyzMarketer 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When Praying to Datuk Kongs, we do not put alcohol and no Pork. We know the rules. As for 4D, yes Datuk Kongs do provide quite accurate 4D Numbers , even when during "trance" by spirit mediums. Anyone can pray to Datuk Kongs, but most Malay Muslims find it "Haram" so don't want to pray to it.

      @@SlyzMarketer ohh not at all. The keramat is a wonderful place to be at. No offence those people that think its haram to go keramat are narrow minded. :p

      @@mohddanish2055 Datuk Gong is its own religion that is a combination of Malay Animism and Chinese Ancestral Worship.
      So yea, this belief is not under the jurisdiction of Islam. And it is a more of a cultural thing shared by some Malays and Chinese in Southeast Asia.

    At 08.10 the picture of a man in white sitting above a white tiger, i do not think it is a picture of a god whatsoever. I think its the picture of Wiro Sableng an Indonesian silat story hero. 😄. See his signature axe with 212 sign? You can google it. Overall this video is a good one about Datuk Kong, i have seen others too, not as good about the background story of Datuk Kong in this.

      @@HakkaMoi i don't know about that, not really a fan. My first contact with wiro sableng was while junior high reading his silat story, that is why i know his signature weapon. I like your video about a local god in Taiwan, the Japanese empire naval pilot, does he fit in category of a Landgod/ Tutikong?, because according to your video he has some of its power (though not blessing with wealth/lucky number, intresting). I understand that singaporean also has their own local god. I hope you can cover that on your next video.
