    04:41 - same in german, Burg - a military complex, Schloss - a also defendable but mor residential, represantative Struture, thank you for your nice and informative videos

    I bet this castle was a very impressive sight in its glory days, that spot seems very well selected on a height facing the water. Good at least that they had created a small model close by so everybody can envison how it once looked. This borg ending is so common in so many citynames like Sölvesborg, Helsingborg, Göteborg etc so one almost forget the original meaning of it..

      Yeah, would've been great to have been able to see it before it turned into a ruin. I think "Kärnan" (the core) in Helsingborg might give a decent idea of how the tower might've looked, it's about the same height and was built around the same time. (though from my understanding, the exterior of Kärnan has changed quite a lot during renovations).
