There are big snook there for sure. Need had to use 50-80lb fluorocarbon leader to land one. They were cutting through 20-30lb leader like butter. Caught a 41” snook.

Guys! You DO realize that Snook are backwater fish, NOT Ocean fish! YES, big females go to the beaches by the millons in the summer to spawn. That is why you can't keep them until September, when most have returned to the canals, mangroves and docks. Sure there is a few exceptions, but if you are looking for consistent Snook fishing success you won't find it on the beaches in late September and after. Bush, Just curious, you hook your Pilchards correctly, but why don't you hook your shrimp in a similiar way that doesn't kill them? When I use live shrimp, I hook them just under their horn so they can swim naturally. If I notice that they refuse to swim below the surface or if they are flipping on the surface, I know something is after them. So I'll put on a split shot! That usually does it. I don't use weight unless there is no other way around it! Just a few things I've learned over the last 40 years!

@@willcordelo3967 I hooked them different ways. When I do long cast they stay on hook better when you hook them on the head.
You can fish the opposite side of swimming pool area off the Rocks inside the pass away from everybody
