However, reality is that the Feds would never let us secede peacefully. That is just not going to happen because half or more of the other states would go with us right now.
He is just a lawyer stating the facts. The scary thing is Congress can make a treaty giving away the sovereignty of the US and its States to foreign nations. This could affect our individual rights if the "supremacy clause," can make treaties the "supreme law of the land."
You should be directing your anger to your president who is not controlling his spending. The debt limit is there to limit spending, not to be raised because we are not controlling ourselves.
I am proud of men like Ted Cruz and our own Mike Lee. We need more men and women like them..those who love this country and the constitution will save America, but only if American's wake up! Hate to burst your bubble, but no. (Yes, I am a Native Texan) As long as you raise the US flag first, any state flag may be flown at the same height on the staff. Even the Texas flag code says that the US flag has to be raised first and the Texas flag has to be close to the same size as the US flag. It is all false, just like people thinking we have the right to succeed. Texas is awesome, but we still have to follow the rules. ;-)
