Gerry gets to grips with the many-legged 28mm plastic Giant Spiders from Wargames Atlantic which would be great for Sci-Fi and Fantasy tabletop wargames.

As well as offering the chance to add these creepy crawlies into your Fantasy games as terrifying monsters, you can also build them to work as a Sci-Fi alien race with laser guns and techno-legs!
How will you build your Giant Spiders?

These are a much better option that the games workshop spiders for Middle Earth battles.

I think to use them for middle hearth but they need 40mm and 60mm bases. I think biggers are nice but can we use smallers to represent giants spiders on 40mm bases ?
Excuse me for the bad expression but i am french and not good english writer

Those cocooned figures are a great addition to the sprue, useable in the 2nd Rangers of Shadow Deep scenario. The sci-fi bits are an interesting surprise too

So many figures come without bases I feel like my 3D printer is used mostly for printing bases.

It's sad that Wargames Atlantic only box their models without bases, and the bases they do sell are 25mm - sure, their humanoid minis will be fine, but their bigger minis will be needing bigger bases, like these spiders or the Harvesters.

Just bought a sprue yesterday on Northstar so i can add giant spiders to my Frostgrave bestiary (and my D&D players)!
They look great and the victims will add to games too ;)
    Thanks for the vid!

Had hoped they would sit lower to the ground TBH - maybe a hack of the joints would work?

They will sit lower to the ground if you build them that way. It's a very flexible kit.

After an unpleasant incident with a tarantula any spiders (even on spru) give me the creeps

I bought this kit and it is by far the worst kit I have ever tried to assemble. I gave up with the big spiders and just used the smaller one piece ones. I am saving this video should I decide to assemble the larger ones in the future.
