Apparently some designs are placed lengthwise (these are the long ones) and others widthwise(the short ones). You very welcome. :-)

Thank you very much. you can fold/hem the neck just like the sleeves or sew it using bias tape or do the neckline facing method.

You could use elastic around the neck / shoulder and /or ruffles if you like too. You can send me a picture example of a particular 'off shoulder' shirt so I would be able to give you detailed explanation or do a video possibly.

I got mine in Africa. it ranges from £20 - £30 for a bundle which consists of 6 yards online. will be cheaper if you buy exactly the amount of fabric you need.

Hello. I have a question for you My chest size that i normally where in T-shirts, loose fitting is 4-5x roughly 62" - 64"
being I am a larger man im seeing that making a Dashiki shirt myself might be a little bit cheaper.
Your tutorial here is excellent but Im wondering about size,
How would I modify this for someone that needed my size? I know need a lot more fabric than this and have watched another video on youtube and for me I think I need 72" to get that loose Dashiki fit but then Im wondering how does that effect the set up here.
As you can tell, I dont sew so im looking for easy. Thank you in advance for any advice.
I think you could , measure your chest and waist, divide whatever you get by 4 (cos the fabric will already be on fold like I did) .. then from the edge of the folded fabric , mark whatever you get on the fabric ,connect with a chalk or pen and cut. I hope this is clear to you.

No I am not in Turkey, Ankara is another name for african prints from where I come from. You can get the fabric in a fabric store around you or check online. Hope this helps.

I just cut round the pattern that comes with the fabric....but if in doubt always put over your head to see if it fits.
