I've made a terrible error. In this video I say this watch was given to Miss Grime working at Apple Records. It was actually Miss Gore. Please accept my apologies. It probably runs better now than it did when new!! Good performance for a pin pallet movement. Great macro photography too. I always enjoy your presentation and look forward to the next video. Cheers!
It really stands out doesn't it. Because it's also the click, and the part doesn't need a recess machined to accommodate it, overall it's a cheaper way to do it.
Brilliant sir you really are my favourite watch channel cant believe you got it running so well I doubt it left the factory that good or any other movement they made Bravo! Andy UK.
Another winning video. I have worked on several of these BFG movements. Although fidley like described, they are good fun to work on. Thanks for the clarification on where to apply oil for the escapement.
A man at the pub told me a trainwheel bridge on a bfg866 is easier than resolving an argument with one's spouse while operating a motorcycle. I beg to differ. They appear to be bulletproof, and run reasonably accurate with a little attention. (I swear I'll never do another!)😅

Top notch, your wit, dexterity and edits are a joy to behold.
Thank you Terry, very kind.
Glad to see it all up and running again!

Thank you. I've had a couple of these run really well. Probably won't last as long, but they can be pretty good.
Another masterful, informative and entertaining video. 👍👍👍 loved it my friend.
Thanks mate.
Got to love a BFG 866 (and amazed to see the yoke/yoke spring wasn't broken about 80% of the one's i've played with have been)
It's a miracle. The movement was in very good condition
Such a beautiful click spring for a cheap watch

I have a lovely Old English with a Teddy Bear sitting on the dial.

Cheers Andy, had a lot of fun making this.
So many BFG 866 movements in need. So little time.
They are everywhere.
This is entertainingly educational! Many thanks 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!

I’ve used cat whiskers for the capillary probe. No felines were injured.
The pivot on this was so wide it'd be a very big cat.
