You are going uphill on alpine bindings...?

No, the AT binding I am using (and what I prefer) is Fritschi Diamir Freeride Pro, we call it the 4x4 of AT bindings. You can use both DIN Alpine boots and AT boots with it. Not quite a "plate binding" like Marker's F10 and F12 Tour bindings, it was the easiest transition from climbing-skinning to skiing. A link to check out is (www.outdoorgearlab.com/reviews/snow-sports/at-bindings/fritschi-freeride-pro), but they were discontinued some years ago. A comparable binding to this is from Tyrolia, Ambition 10 and 12 Touring (www.tyrolia.com/en_US/bindings/touring/ambition.html)
I was happy to NOT use Climbing Skins in VID, the scale pattern ion mid third of ski was enough! A ski worth checking out for the BC.
