The polar bear watching the photographer under the water was the creepiest for me. Especially if that bear is close to you, if it surges from the water...you're done. You can't do anything, you're done.
Good news: polar bears have a high possibility of having ADHD (expert opinions vary), so your best bet to up your chance of survival is throw something to distract them, buying yourself some time
Glad you’re as desensitized as I am bro. I’m the most scared when I can’t see something. Darkness allows my imagination to wander which is far more horrifying than anything else
I feel ya dude. I'm really beginning to think I'm totally desensitized to anything creepy or scary which sucks bc i love all things horror. In fact the only things that do creep me out are the thallassophobia, megalophobia, and submechaniphobia videos.
The "Counting Sheep" image looks like it references Shub-Niggurath, another Lovecraftian eldritch monstrosity. Also known as "The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young." It was used in Overlord (anime/light novels), as well as Quake.
I just watched the whole thing. The worst one was the one where you were looking down at the people for me. What about whoever reads this comment? What about you?
@@thehater6061 For me it was definitely the polar bear, to imagine taking a picture, or even seeing something as horrifying as that, isn't even creepy, it is far FAR F A R *F A R* worse.
My phasmophobia really kicked in at some photos. I either don’t react at all or I close my ipad and stare at the dark corner in my room expecting to see two glowing white eyes
I gotta say that it's kinda funny combination of watching creepy/unsettling videos while listening Greg speaking smoothly and calmly, it calms me even though I feel little anxious at times, especially deep water stuff or people risking their lives doing some dumb crap like jumping roof to roof while spinning 360 degrees on air or something like that.. BUT regardless, I'm glad that I found this channel and Greg seems a nice guy, Thumbs up for that :)👍👍
Somehow you ended up in my Asmr relaxation playlist, but it was quite nice! All these images are quite fascinating and amazing to see! You sir are quite an interesting TH-camr!
7:10 made me think of meshuggah's bleed music video. i've only ever watched that video once but it creeped me out enough that i still think about it every now and then.
i dont know what this dude has or if is the way he talks but i feel peacefull, i use your videos to sleep (in a goos way i love your videos) i watch them any time im just chilling
8:16 I’m super late, but that’s specifically a Hellmouth! It originates in Anglo-Saxon art and is basically just a portal to Hell. So. I dunno if that makes it scarier in any way
8:49 i really don't get why people are scared of the sirenhead? Like just, hide?? What's he gonna do, it isn't like he can appear out of nowhere like the grudge
The concept art for the Guardians in Breath of the Wild was absolutely terrifying - and I LOVE it. That would have been so awesome to come over the top of a hill and see something that looks straight out of Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. I would have been like, “YES! Finally Zelda is scary, like seeing Deadhand in the Bottom of the Well when I was 8. Good job Nintendo!” 🤣 I know Zelda is supposed to be for all ages, but man, I want Nintendo to make a version that just strikes that primal fear chord.
None of these were really creepy except the Polar Bear one, but maybe that's because it's actually real and not like fictional horror. That photo filled me with genuine dread.
Hey Greg. I certainly empathise with the thassolaphobia vibe. I've never liked the look of cold dark deep water from the surface. Sometimes it's a very deep blue or dark mouldy green, or even brownish. Even, thinking about it, clear but deep water that descends into darker blue gives me the creeps. Once whilst on holiday (vacation) in Greece I plucked up the courage to swim in the shallow water off the beach. I wore a mask and snorkel and swam about looking at the rocks and things. I picked up some shells and nice stones but soon lost them as I inadvertently looked in the direction of the open sea. The beach was a gentle slope but I could see the vastness of the dark blue ocean in the distance. I freaked out and left the water as quickly as I could. To this day, I have never again been in the sea. Is it the deep water, or the creatures that dwell there, or the vast unknown, or the fact that I can't breathe water... I dunno, all of them perhaps. Not sure I feel the same about outer space though. 😃
Btw, I listened to some music when typing each segment out, here is the music I listened to: 1 th-cam.com/video/cG_EgFBhG2c/w-d-xo.html 2 th-cam.com/video/e3t_dbLaw-M/w-d-xo.html 3 th-cam.com/video/NTfeMhyyy5o/w-d-xo.html Segment 1: It is definitely all of them, you could be a diver and go to one peaceful coral reef one day, and then the next the entire reef would be eaten, covered with purple spine covered starfish that could paralyze you from a singular sting, causing you to drown on the ocean floor, or, you could be walking on the shallow end and step on a unseen stonefish or stingray, perhaps even in the medium end and get stung by a jellyfish that gives you the feeling of impending doom, or alternatively, you could be on one of the many ships that was sunken in the middle of war, left to rot and starve at the bottom of the sea, with nothing to calm you but the sheer emptiness of the abyss, or, you can be on a deep diving trip where you sink too low, and go into a psychotic state from poisonous gas entering your bloodstream, left to walk the depths in confusion until you run out of oxygen, or alternatively, you can go out in the sea with your friends, only to get lost in the waves with only your boat to serve as evidence of your existence. Segment 2: *Now, space on the other hand, is a completely different beast,* it has some similarities though, the major fears that you'd get from space is the sheer *inevitability* of it all, the unholy amount of threats presented by the stars is unimaginable, at any passing moment, at any passing day, an asteroid can reach our atmosphere, plunging the entire world into chaos, causing every system to collapse and everyone to break down in their final days, people would be doomsday prepping, everyone would care more or less about everything, and then the entire world would be incinerated on the surface, and it would rain ash and debris from the sky, causing a couple thousand year winter, or a black hole could move toward our solar system, and dilate time for thousands of years, as you'd see your loved ones and the entire galaxy die, as everything becomes irrelevant to the sheer size and scape of reality, and then you and everything else would be ripped apart, as if it never even existed, or a solar flare could come from our own star, frying all of our technology, rendering it useless, no advanced healthcare, no economy, no law enforcement, no connection to your family, no nothing, alternatively, you can be an astronaut, where you'd have a high likelihood of getting cancer from moon debris, blowing up before even getting into orbit, getting lost in space, crashing into the sea, getting cancer from solar rays, choking on your own vomit because there is no gravity, or alternatively, you can be one of the many animals sent into space as nothing but a flex from a national power, left to be mummified in the cold emptiness of the void. Segment 3: *So, in essence, the sea is the fear of helplessness, and endlessness.* *And space, is the fear of inevitability, and emptiness.* Or in other words, nearly the same.
9:30 this just looks like when you put googly eyes on something, like if you just made the eyes slightly crooked, it would look even more like googly eyes.
