In 1980 while on a family holiday in Cavtat, I went on a full day excursion to Montenegro and we visited Kotor but also Sveti Stefan. It wasn't a hotel yet but I was mesmerized by the beauty of the location. In Cavtat we stayed at hotel Croatia, a modern five star property in a stunning location on the rocks. This was a gorgeous holiday, But I will never forget Sveti Stefan.
The island was established (the fortress, houses and churches built) by the local Serbian Pashtrovich tribe, after their defeat of the invading Turkish Navy fleet, in the 15th Century. Each family from the tribe commited to build an individual family house and form the community, hence 12 houses with accompanying buildings, including the renovated Christian Orthodox Church of St. Stephen and the nearby chapel.
It would be very interesting to know where this tribe or its descendants are today and why/how it ended up in the hands of Indonesians. The video states that the last 20 inhabitants were only just removed in the 60's by Yugoslav Authorities and converted into a hotel.
cozza I am a descendant from there my great grandmother and father lived there, my granpa was born there. This brings back memories of 30 odd years ago i went on holiday there and stayed in the villa on kings beach. it was a hotel back then. And i remember the amazing breakfast they served on that terrace overlooking the beach, You could walk to the left side of the villa and follow a narrow path that led through the hills to the beach area at sveti stefan. I think back then it was just an island of private houses not a hotel
WOW, Montenegro...never seen this place before. Love this little tiny island with all the buildings tightly bunched together 0:33 , I love the stones wall all over 1:07 , lovely water views all around, I really love that, I'm a water baby hehehe. the rooms are nicely appointed and have good space in them 11:53 , I could spend all day in the sea 16:50 , nice dining area over-looking the water, would be very nice at night as well 19:10 , loving the rustic feature all over this property.
I feel a sense of calm and well being watching your vlogs. This place is super romantic and charming. Eating at the restaurant with a canopy of green overlooking the beach is bound to satisfy the senses of any hedonist. You have done a brilliant job capturing the sunset at the Stefan beach. The Queen's beach with its green mild waters and pink sand seems like a lovers' paradise. Doc I long to visit every single property you cover. When will things normalise? Excellent report as usual. Montenegro has a rugged, spectacular coastline and I found the people to be very warm and friendly. I really liked Kotor which I thought was similar in many ways to Dubrovnik with it's red tiled roofs and narrow paved streets. It is however not as busy as Dubrovnik as it does not have the association with King's Landing. It's a pity, or perhaps not, that the country is often overlooked by tourists seeking the better known resorts along the Adriatic coast.

This looks like a good place for a small conference or some kind of meeting/reunion. It's very beautiful, but doesn't seem warm enough for a real tropical beach kind of holiday. Actually it looks like it could be very romantic too. But, seems better suited to varying kinds of meetings and that includes romantic like I said. It just seems like someplace you need to bring your own entertainment and have a reason for being there.
That does beg the question. The video does state that the last 20 inhabitants were removed to the mainland. Looking at it now would be very hard for them today.

I totally agree, I would rather spend 2 nights at an Aman than stay longer at another hotel. I stayed at Aman Venice and fell in love with Aman . This hotel is next on my list. Thank you for posting such a great and extensive video. It is very beautifully done. All the best to you.
Отдыхали в Черногории, каждый день были на пляже около Святого Стефана, доплывали до его стен. Атмосфера непередоваема, энергетика потрясающая. Рекомендуем. Belarus.
Great video, as always :) thank you for a unique perspective of these pearls of Aman (and others), which succeeded again, this time in encapsulating a legendary piece of montenegrin beauty and culture!
I hope you reach your richly deserved 500K very soon. I love your work on TH-cam. It is moving art and is my favourite channel here since I discovered it.I wish you and your family health and happiness. Hopefully restrictions can be lifted soon to allow you to enrich us further with your wonderfully captured Luxury Travels. Thank You .
Wow. What a beautiful place. The island has so much to explore it seems. And the sunset was just wonderful. Top of the bucket list. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it
OMG, Dr. LTE--the half-million mark is comin' up! Congratulations! I haven't forgotten what you promised to do when you reach the one-million mark :)
Eggs bene (ok, florentine) in Montenegro! Quite a spectacular fortress! Aman always goes the whole nine yards, as we say in the states. Even down to the beautiful light fixtures. The bathroom in your suite was WOW! And the spectacular pools and beaches and VIEWS! It's so nice of you to share your travels with us.
Thanks, was waiting all week to watch it🤗 ... fantastic
Amazing island and nature thx for sharing and keep going..!
Super info video ..Thx na postavci, furaj samo naprijed i srdacan pozdrav iz Kanade! ✌🍁🍷💕🌹🍁👌
lot of hard work I can see behind your videos. Kudos to you for your background music, recording with less jitters, capturing the entire sunset, recording food....God Job....back to back I have watched so many videos of yours.
Heaven on Earth. Thank you so much for this beautiful video, I will be content to live vicariously through you... Cheers 💖
This is so beautiful. Hopefully one day i can go to Sveti Stefan. Stay at Aman Hotels are my dream that i really wish i can fulfill in my life.
Exquisite location! Mind blowing vibes that were felt right through the phone screen. Spectacular views of pristine beaches and pink sands! 💙🤝🏻
Gorgeous video, hotel and place.
It's getting crowded in my "top 10 hotels I want to visit" wish list. Might have to bump a hotel off..or make it a top 20 wish list.
Stay safe, stay healthy!
Thanks for sharing! This is absolutely stunning. I have never been to this place, and I hope, I will plan to visit. The sunset, the food, and nature, everything is amazing. I fell in love with this hotel and nature.
I usually never comment on videos but this made me do it..your videos are really satisfying and treat to the eyes😁..never stop making these videos..Wish to go there once in my lifetime..Xd:)
Glad you like them!
Glad you enjoyed it Aman Sveti Stefan is indeed a unique property (there's nothing like it one earth).
Your films are exquisite and the best quality, thank you, much appreciated
The video is masterful. A true work of genious and the best I have seen yet of your work (which is quite a lot!)
Wow, thank you!
As a doctor you for certain know best. The decor and the overall ambience are mind blowing. Your videos leave me feeling more and more optimistic. Vous vous appelez comment monsieur? Le tournage du film est meilleur.
I agree!
Your videos are incredibly detailed! Awesome ❤️
We only had two days to spend in Montenegro so we spent them in Kotor. So beautiful.
So lovely and perfect view ,very peaceful makes my day. Thank you so much for your beautiful video a lots of encouragement ,God bless and peace grace to all of us 🙏🌸💕❤️🦋🦋🦋
Great choice of music very fluid. The resort is outstanding. I will definitely visit some day in the future without pandemic.
That’s crazy. I will sell my soul to get there
I wish I was stranded here during this pandemic😩
Lovely place. The hotel could have tapped the solar energy to add their footprints on the energy consumption and environment.
Stay safe, stay at home.
Best wishes from Mumbai
Presentation of this video is exceptional. totally professional. I really enjoy it.
Thx 🙏
Stunning vlog of an equally stunning property.
If only one day soon.

Hello. That was truly Breathtaking and Magnificent. Aman Stefan is beautiful. My two favorites? Aman Zoe and Aman Stefan. Just for the money sunset shots from both resorts. This resort was truly beautiful, scenic and meticulously kept. Yes, both are bucket list locations for sure.
*Oh the island itself looks awesome!! Your selection of BGM is really good! I want to visit that hotel sometime!!!* 👍👍👍
Wow, what a unique place.

WHAT A HARD LIFE, BOY...WHAT A HARD LIFE 🌐🌴🍹⛵🍾,this is definitely the first place on my next luxury travel, I see myself already on the QUEEN Beach ( a truly treasure ) or having a brunch on that platz...this is NOT a HOTEL, this is a 🧚♂️ FAIRY TALE...
One like from India 🇮🇳 but One of beautiful land scape in the world
Thanks a lit for the video! I always wanted to visit Sveti Stefan.
You should!
Gorgeous! Hope you can visit places like this again, with your new 4K camera. Well done!!
Bellisimo!!!!! Sus videos son MARAVILLOSOS!!!!!!!!!!! 👏👏👏❤️😍Gracias x acercarnos tanta belleza!!!!!!!
Absolutely beautiful but someone’s much loved home once upon a time. It must have been difficult to leave.
That does beg the question. The video does state that the last 20 inhabitants were removed to the mainland. Looking at it now would be very hard for them today.
Of all you're video's and hotel I will keep this....I'll give 10 star's stunning
Stunning, so beautiful ❤️ Thank you for the wonderful video!
You're most welcome
I have enjoyed this video very much! Thank you for sharing! 😍💕😎🤗
it's a DREAM!!!! i would like to live there for one year❤❤❤❤❤
Can find no words to tell about such magnificent places you make us feel like being around hand in hand with you while been imprisoned because of Covid19, each in his/her own country ... I was a good taveler I guess, I have been to Jerusalem and Israel, then to China and finally to India before the break out of that Corona Virus ... But before all I've roamed around my own Country "Egypt"; around it all inch by inch, I wonder why I haven't seen any video from you been shot in Egypt ..... Anyway You are always welcome and will always be .... Again thankyou for making me a part of your trip, for taking me all around 💓💓💓
