  • According to the World Happiness Report, Finland has ranked the happiest! For the last 6 years, this Nordic country has ranked No. 1 out of 150 for all the things that generally make people content. In partnership with major global universities, the World Happiness Report uses categories like income, “social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity, and corruption” to determine just how happy people are. The U.S. ranked 15th on the list.

I've lived in Helsinki Finland for 2 years. It's very peaceful there, there is absolutely no poverty/poor areas throughout the whole city and country, yet there weren't so many high class rich areas. The quality of homes and roads etc were all organized and well put, even the cheaper government owned buildings. The only down side is that there really isn't much to do there. The ski resort up North in Levi is beautiful for a ski trip getaway, but other than that, not much else.

Whatever the weather was outside you had no clue unless you had the windows open....even when we had white out conditions with hurricane force winds for hours/days. To bad the homes aren't built like that in the United States and elsewhere but you'd have to pay a enormous price here to possibly get something like that. Plus it wouldn't be profitable for homes to last. They also use geothermal where they can.
