Other than blowing those couple possessions in the 1st quarter, when they settled for a couple field goals when they were deep in Bama territory, the Buckeyes pretty much controlled the rest of the game. They did have a couple screw-ups in the last 3 minutes like letting the Alabama reciever get wide open and a couple questionable play calls that made it close. Think when they went up 14 with over 3 minutes left they thought game over. Can't relax against anyone in a playoff/ championship game especially when it's Bama. Was a fun ride, especially last 3 games. And I was visiting Ohio the night of Big 10 title game and said if Buckeyes won by 14 or more and Jones looked good at QB that Buckeyes would be in playoff. Even after they won 59-0 some still didn't think they would make playoff. You know who you are 😉

i've watched this about a hundred times and I still to this day cannot believe that referee standing over the ball at 9:52 trying to make Ohio State lose as much time as possible, all the while the nut-sucking announcers saying "Ohio State is wasting valuable time," acting like they can snap it with the referee standing over the ball. there was only :42 seconds left in the half and every second counted, and the ref stands over the ball and let's as much time run off the clock as he can possibly allow. he had NO reason to keep them from snapping it for that long with the play-clock running. shows you what's up, though. really shows you what's up.

What if the defense wanted to take their sweet old time just so the clock would run out. Besides the Evan Spencer td throw to Michael Thomas, I think my favorite play is honestly Cardale's 27-yard run up the middle at 9:57. Most people expect a qb to eventually slide on that kind of play to protect himself. Not Cardale. He lowers his shoulder and trucks 26 on Alabama.

Daren Lee went to my high school. he played quarterback and was amazing
i've watched this about a hundred times and I still to this day cannot believe that referee standing over the ball at 9:52 trying to make Ohio State lose as much time as possible, all the while the nut-sucking announcers saying "Ohio State is wasting valuable time," acting like they can snap it with the referee standing over the ball. there was only :42 seconds left in the half and every second counted, and the ref stands over the ball and let's as much time run off the clock as he can possibly allow. he had NO reason to keep them from snapping it for that long with the play-clock running. shows you what's up, though. really shows you what's up.
Ohio Against The World I understand the ref is supposed to let the defense sub if the offense subs but in that case they should stop the clock. What if the defense wanted to take their sweet old time just so the clock would run out. Funny thing is I was just watching this on my DVR 3 days ago and I was screaming move ref as if it was a live game.
right dude exactly, also I don't know if you noticed during the game but some of the Bama players were trying to lay on top of OSU players after tackles so they couldn't huddle quicker. refs didn't say a word. next time you watch the game, watch closely at some of the Bama tackles in the last minute-and-a-half or so of the first half. it's so stupid it's almost funny. and doesn't that tell you what an awesome game this was, to be able to watch it 8 months later and still love every second of it. Besides the Evan Spencer td throw to Michael Thomas, I think my favorite play is honestly Cardale's 27-yard run up the middle at 9:57. Most people expect a qb to eventually slide on that kind of play to protect himself. Not Cardale. He lowers his shoulder and trucks 26 on Alabama.
I will also never forget that I took one for the team in this game. I left to use the bathroom and that was when OSU scored their first td. After that my family made me stay out of the room 😂 I had to watch the game the day after
