Hi Monica. It's Leslie this pig is so adorable. Do you think using Styrofoam as a base with the clay over it would work for my "Mummy Snoopy"? Do you thicken your paint? My paint is much more runny.(may-be I need to use a better paint. I've never "floated" paint before,is there a bottle of float that I could p/u. I ordered my clay and it says it will be here on Wednesday however with the holiday who knows when it will arrive. I'm almost finished with my one of my nting projects. It's several ladybugs along with a sign that says "Ladybug Crossing". I hope the weather is nice so I can get them outside to apply the sealer. I was going to give this project to my sister for her garden. However time got away from me and with summer almost over I'll keep it and give it to her at Christmas. Thanks for your help and remember everyone to be kind 💚to yourself🕴 and eachother.👥👥
Hiya, Leslie! Thank you so much ☺️ I think you could use styrofoam for Snoopy! I don’t thicken the paint. The brands that I use are a better quality than say Apple Barrel. My favorite brand is Ceramcoat, which is made by Plaid, available at JoAnn’s. I also use FolkArt (also made by Plaid) & DecoArt Americana, which is available at Michael’s & Hobby Lobby. The floating medium is another FolkArt product. I get that at JoAnn’s as well. Michaels & HL no longer carry it…which is a bummer. Hopefully, the weather cooperates & you can get your lady bugs sealed 🐞I’m sure your sister will love it! I hope that helps! Fingers crossed for a lovely holiday weekend! ❤️🥰❤️
