Just adorable. I have never worked with clay. I'm still trying to master the many other art challenges. Gelli prints and layering paint to not look like mud has been interesting. Keep at it long enough and a person finally succeeds. In my next life i have already per-ordered a great voice for singing and the ability to create beautiful art. 🙃

Thank you so much Wenkay! It really is so easy! It didn’t take long, once I got started. Maybe about 40 minutes…tops! That’s to make the sculpture. Another hour to finish up, including paint drying time. It probably took longer to gather all the supplies, than make him! Thank you so much for spending time with me! I am just curious and this may be a "learnable moment"... why is ModelMagic always used opposed to a higher grade of "air dry clay"? Is is more "billowy or lighter weight when dried ??? Just asking ..not to be a snot ~ My thinking is...your art pieces are so cute and I question the life of the piece after completed. Does that clay last several years afterward or ??? Ive only ever squeezed the bag in store... ( yeah, it's me who poked the bag) :)~
Hiya, Sarah! I started using it when I was just starting out, so I didn’t want to invest too much money into clay, just in case I didn’t enjoy it. But, as it turns out, I love it! The Model Magic is very soft & easy to work with. It’s also very light when it dries. I was concerned with the durability, but so far it’s held up perfectly! I just recently tried creative paper clay & I really liked that! So, I will definitely invest in more. Another thing that I do like about the Model Magic (besides the price) is that it doesn’t really crack when it dries. I’ve only had one instance of cracking, but to be fair, I used a lot of water to smooth it. I’m sure that had something to do with it. I hope that helps. 😉 I truly appreciate your reaching out! OMG! This is fabulous! I don't have any Model Magic but I do have some air dry clay, would that work for something like this. I haven't used Model Magic in a very, very long time but from what I remember, it was, for lack of proper description, lighter weight/fluffy so I'm not sure of how it compares to the regular air dry clay (which I haven't used in a very, very long time either).

I mainly use it because it’s easy to condition & it’s inexpensive. I just bought some new clay today that’s supposed to be bendable. I’m looking forward to trying it! Thank you so much Wenkay! It really is so easy! It didn’t take long, once I got started. Maybe about 40 minutes…tops! That’s to make the sculpture. Another hour to finish up, including paint drying time. It probably took longer to gather all the supplies, than make him!

I am just curious and this may be a "learnable moment"... why is ModelMagic always used opposed to a higher grade of "air dry clay"? Is is more "billowy or lighter weight when dried ??? Just asking ..not to be a snot ~ My thinking is...your art pieces are so cute and I question the life of the piece after completed. Does that clay last several years afterward or ??? Ive only ever squeezed the bag in store... ( yeah, it's me who poked the bag) :)~
Hiya, Sarah! I started using it when I was just starting out, so I didn’t want to invest too much money into clay, just in case I didn’t enjoy it. But, as it turns out, I love it! The Model Magic is very soft & easy to work with. It’s also very light when it dries.
I was concerned with the durability, but so far it’s held up perfectly!
I just recently tried creative paper clay & I really liked that! So, I will definitely invest in more.
Another thing that I do like about the Model Magic (besides the price) is that it doesn’t really crack when it dries. I’ve only had one instance of cracking, but to be fair, I used a lot of water to smooth it. I’m sure that had something to do with it.

OMG! This is fabulous! I don't have any Model Magic but I do have some air dry clay, would that work for something like this. I haven't used Model Magic in a very, very long time but from what I remember, it was, for lack of proper description, lighter weight/fluffy so I'm not sure of how it compares to the regular air dry clay (which I haven't used in a very, very long time either).

Air dry would definitely work perfectly for this! You are correct, that Model Magic lightweight & fluffy! I mainly use it because it’s easy to condition & it’s inexpensive. I just bought some new clay today that’s supposed to be bendable. I’m looking forward to trying it!
