- Welcome to Pen Spinning Fundamentals! If you've ever been amazed by pen-spinning tricks and want to learn them yourself, you're in the right place. In this video, we'll cover the four fundamental tricks: Thumb Around, Charge, Fingerpass, and Sonic. Master these basics, and you'll be well on your way to becoming a pen spinner.
We'll start with the Thumb Around. Find the center of balance on your pen and place your middle finger there. With practice, you'll get the hang of rotating the pen around your thumb. The Thumb Around Reverse is similar but involves balancing on your index finger instead.
Next, we'll learn the Charge. There are two methods to learn this trick, one involves sliding the pen over your thumb flap and the other is just finger movement. Mastering the Charge Reverse will be easier if you follow Method Two.
Moving on to the Fingerpass, this trick involves passing the pen between your fingers smoothly. It's one of the quickest to learn, but it takes time to perfect.
Finally, we have the Sonic. This trick requires you to hit the pen against your middle finger and pass it behind. It's essential to learn the Charge before attempting the Sonic for better control.
After mastering the fundamentals, we'll introduce some more beginner-friendly tricks like Infinity, Twisted Sonic, and Neo Sonic.
As you progress, try learning the tricks in different finger slots and with your palm facing down. The possibilities are endless, and you can create a near-infinite number of linkages by combining tricks.
Remember, practice is key, and don't get discouraged if it doesn't come easily at first. With dedication, you'll be a pen spinner in no time.

I’m an old guy. I remember seeing “the smart kids” spin a pen around their thumb like this.
No joke I've been trying to spin constantly for around a year now and all those tutorials were no help. With this video within the first 10 minutes of each trick I could easily do it. Thank u.
Spent over 4 hours couldn't learn any of them thanks tho
no you didn’t
bro it takes atleast 5 to 6 days as per my experience
Tqsm...
all sonic variations please i want to learn them all
This video will blow up (hopefully)
Absolute amazing editing btw
Thanks 😊
for the thumb around i cant spin it over my thumb it just spins at the tip of my fingers can u help with that?
do you need relatively long fingers to spin a pen? since mine are really short and stubby
no there are good pen spinners with all types of hands
great video! also nice pen
love the animations for the motion of the pen btw
How long did it take to be decent at this?
in the thumb around instead of going toward my index it goes toward my other two fingers
any tips on how to prevent the pen from gradually getting away/ sliding up when doing the charge?
try not to grind out continuous charge, it's useless
i did the thumb around first try
I don’t believe you
It was luck yeah could be but you couldn’t do it again right?
is this normal to be hard at first or is this just my finger joints not letting me, in the finger pass I have cannot move my ring finger down without my middle finger going down too unless i use my other hand to push it down, is it normal to be like this?
it happend 2 me 2 ????
0:43 Me teaching my friend "so what you need to do is..."
WAUT HOW DO U DO THIS IDK HOW 2:37
bro became pen stock 💀
In the charge hand one my fingers keep on sliding
That's normal just. Keep practicing and the sliding will decrease!
0:44 bro just shown a bad word
if your having trouble catching the pen check the angle in which your hand is at
omg me at the end
0:46…Bro put the middle finger up💀
3:05 no the hard part is trying to get the fingers in the right position without straining them
op bruth
Damn my hand joints won't allow me to drop my middle finger for the sonic.😢
I had like my whole life of muscle memory to break through. I ended up using my other hand to hold the pen while doing the motion with my right hand. It eventually worked when I did it by accident and now I can do it semi consistently.
You’ll definitely be able to/ you already did it, if you just keep practicing
The perfect way to procrastinate in class:
bro
YOU DESERVE SO MUCH ATENTION YOUR SO GOOD I MANAGED TO LEARN IT IN 10 MIN
I physically cannot use my pinky for the fingerpass
I'm left-handed...
i DARE you to do a thumb around into a finger pass!!!(☞゚ヮ゚)☞
