Here's the argument: IF you are "America first" then you should support the working class, the hope for a robust middle class. What has happened over the past several decades, truly beginning with Reagan, is starving out the middle class, primarily by undermining workers rights and bargaining power. This is also tied to such things as undermining the consumer protection agencies, where YouKnowCoup installed stooges to whittle back the abilities of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, dropping cases against predatory lenders, pulling back on the investigation of the Equifax breach. These things happened, and make quite evident that the only way Trump thinks about jobs is how businesses can exploit workers.
He charged the secret service double because he knew the government was going to pay for it. This happened everytime the SC stayed at the Mar a logo.

Not just Maralago, but EVERY Trump property. The SS had to rent a huge, expensive house for 4 years next to ivanka and Jared because ivanka wouldn't allow the SS agent on duty use their downstairs, staff bathroom.
Trump broke the entire Secret Service budget in one year. They had to go to Congress for more money. He made them rent an entire floor of Trump Tower to watch over Melania and he charged them top dollar . The Trumps made a ton of money from taxpayers.
I have a theory that those that support Trump are the same people who think WWE wrestling is real.

My best friend is in his 60's. He had always had a union job. Under Trump each year he was laid off longer and longer every year during the winter. He voted for him the first time. I showed him his last 8 years of taxes and showed him the pay loss he had under Trump. He was for the old GOP. He has been voting more for Democrats since. He's still a Republican but has been seeing the light. I'm just happy to see him start realizing. He's a veteran and he thinks Tubberville is an idiot for what he's doing.
So basically, he talks trash about the people we don't like, and although he doesn't really care about our broke asses...We love him!

About the only credit I can give a Trump voter is yes you do not have to and may very well not agree with everything a candidate is saying or believes in and you make your best choice based on that.
The problem is they are too blind to see all of the other things they may disagree with him on. The cons would tally up pretty quickly.
The only people that don’t like unions are some business owners and most CEOs. Unions mean power! More power for the employees and less for management. That’s why most companies are anti-union.

It’s not only a matter of people believing misrepresentation of Trump’s position. What works most to the Republicans’ favor is sheer cynicism, leading people to give up on higher aspirations and settle for the petty comforts of prejudices being coddled.
They enjoy those petty comforts. They're allergic to any change.
He’s going around in circles, chasing his tail, in what has clearly become a dangerous death spiral. A trap of nightmare proportions, far from the idyllic and nice outcome he imagined growing up. Numerous and unnecessary court cases in what has turned into a tussle of attrition against those he gave the responsibility to facilitate another term in office, whom have now decided to step in and take what they believe is rightfully theirs.
This is has seen court cases which could have been done and dusted in weeks by the hundreds of legal establishments which could have ended this, but instead this sorry saga has to be excruciatingly dragged on for several years with unnecessary and feeble attempts to stall his momentum. Given, everything is in the public eye, there are continuous dawns of false hope to bring about a planned public exhaustion with him - a death by a thousand cuts to get what they feel is rightfully belongs to them.
Whilst these sham courts reach their verdicts, he sits and ponders despondently with flashbacks of how it was in the past and how it could have been, it’s all deja vu. But, it’s maybe too late, time has passed him by (or been taken away from him) - and time waits for no man.
Traitors flock together just like jail birds do.

Look at the NON union workplaces like Amazon and Starbucks and tell me they have better pay and conditions that union workplaces
When I was in the IBEW, I knew other members that were Trump supporters and were against unions. Yes, Republican union members, earning generous union wages, benefits and protection who vote against unions. I used to tell them that if they were so against the union, they could go work for a non-union shop anytime they want. That was usually met with silence. Bizarre.
I'm a union member in a deep red state (TN), and I know the majority of my union brothers have always voted strictly Republican, because they've bought into the whole "you csnt be a Christian if you vote Democrat" spiel. But I must say, I dont hear anyone vocally supporting Trump this time...I dont hear them criticize him either...they're just not talking about it, unlike the last few elections! Incidentally, my great grandfather was the President of the UMW District 19, which included all of Tennessee and Kentucky, in the late 1910s and early 1920s...its amazing how people in this area have completely forgotten their strong Labor sentiments

Trump ran in 16 on a pro labor stance and the average worker , especially union worker bought it but it was just talk. Hillary on the other hand had been on the Walmart board ( a very non union company) and bill was the one responsible for nafta so it was a easy sell for trump, this isn’t the case when running against Biden but Biden needs to remind the American workers of his pro union stance
