Totally agree. That right hand is spot-on with the accents and - number one rule: perfectly consistent. It drives the whole song. And what a song it is - great post, thank you Rubin!
Wow... once again, you play through the song, then you teach it the way you do and within 15 minutes I'm playing the song.. you are so much appreciated... great teacher! Thank you.. u make it look so easy
I saw your video on till u come back to me,,you did a fantastic job,,thank you for checking me out and I glad that I was able to bring this to you,,,,great job 😊👍💯💯
I got it Rubin... Just trying now to catch the rhythm of the strum for the second and third verses. I haven't been in music class since seventh grade but I forget what they call those types of notes where you may have 4 or 5 notes in a whole beat ( something like that ). It'll come to me as well as the break and changing to and from the first and second cord at the start of the third verse. I think my feelings gotta catch up but practice makes perfect.
Thanks I'm confident you will be successful in your practice 👍..play the RYTHYM in a way that feels good to you,,my RYTHYM may change every time I play it. I only gave the patters of the song,,
Greetings OG thanks for the lessons and the Content it's valuable BTW please forgive me for my ignorance but I'm curious did you use to play professionally back in the da✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
🤔A7sus4 is just that, an A7sus4 because for a chord to be an 11th there has to be another note like a 3rd, minor 3rd or 2nd, with the 7th in a chord to make a 4th an 11th That's why slash chord (A/B) are 11th cause you've got two notes in the chord that can replace the 3rd on the G string (2nd or 9th) & B string (4th or 11th) Hope that info helps in what identifies as an 11th, another note replaces the 3rd is the gist of it But playing that same shape, from the 5th string on out is a minor 11th (11th on high E string) x-r-minor3-7-r-11. So the only time that shape is an 11th is while using the note on the A string as a root.
there's such a subtle brilliance in a good rhythm guitar track. It can hold the whole song down, but be barely noticeable to the listener.
I totally agree 🙂
Thank you
