    This video was a great help for me! I thought it would take forever to get at least a whistle out of mine but once I scrolled the head joint in it got a sound! I am getting better every cya

    Excellent Informative Video!!! I'm a flute player, but I'm just beginning Piccolo. Your advice on moving the embouchure hole down and not aligned with the keys really helps especially trying to play the lower notes. I will also follow your advice and be patient. Thanks so much. I also purchased the Piccolo Piccolo method book. Great for Flute players wanting to learn to play the piccolo. High recommend it.

    I like my Yamaha 32 but would like to get the sound I associate with a wooden instrument. Should I buy a Mancke headjoint for the instrument I already have or buy a Burkart Resona piccolo?

      It depends on your budget! A Mancke headjoint will make a huge difference, although a Burkart Resona is a fantastic choice of instrument if your budget can accommodate it.
