I wish I could have met him and had him draw me my own Rat Fink!!!! I have several different Die-cast cars and trucks of the Rat Fink character on them!!! And I'm gonna start collecting different things of his!!!!!? But I will be ordering some t-shirts of Rat fink and anything else that I can find!!!?? But I remember being a kid and seeing the t-shirts on people in the 70's and 80's!!!!? So it's something very dear to me!! Always loved Rat fink!!! God bless you all today 🙏 Shalom
Was my hero when I was a little kid in So Cal back in the 60's saw him at car show down there....many years later I got to meet him in Manti...friends of mine were friends of his family...they took me over to meet him he greeted us at the door and gave me the house and garage shop tour.First home he owned in Manti..gave me several old order books with dried paint on them and a greasy Rat Fink key ring..years after that my Mom talked him into silk screening 2 t shirts for me he did them him self...Might Mustang was for me and I still treasure it to this day....you might can see my old VW bus in some of the early Rat Fink reunion shows...2010...2015...or so...
Such a genius! A heavy influence on me when I was a little girl in the 1960's as both an artist and hotrod lover. He still is! A great man whose kindness and talents live on and on!
Such a wonderful man. So many stories he could tell. I met him in Birmingham Al, he was touring with Beatnik Bandit ll, and got autograph! R.I.P. Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. 🦇😡
I was one of the Artists that pinstriped his coffin at the funeral, the saddest thing I’ve every done. Over the years knowing Ed was an asset, just having him call me was amazing, and being the auctioneer at the Rat Fink Reunions, will be a point of pride until I draw my last breath, I still think of Ed frequently, still smile at the memories. After one particular Reunion he actually offered to pay my expenses for what I did for him at the auctions, which I immediately refused..
I met Ed Roth back in about 1962. My brother was his banker in Maywood, California. Had a photo with big Daddy and a free rat fink black hat. Great memories of that day. Thanks for this video.
Man I wish I could paint like that I am happy to just get a prime, base, pearl or metallic, then clear with no runs or issues. I guess there is a reason I see his work in so many collections and now buy products with his character on in. A straight up pro every painter or enthusiast should strive to be like.
