      Tricia F Michel I actually chew mines too, although I like it slimy as it’s traditionally made. But one question...why does chewing it make you say “eww”? What’s disgusting about that? It’s just a preference. Also, you sound rude as hell saying you’d never eat with her.

    So funny although I am half Haitian, my Mom’s family is from Suriname and in Suriname we call Tom Tom almost the same thing but we make it with Plantain and a little cassava instead of breadfruit.

    I never seen breadfruit steamed like this. Polynesians make a similar pounded version but go through a much longer process for this same end result. everything looks really good.

    Great job! A very unique dish eaten and made by mainly people from the southern part of Haiti of Jeremie called. Also eaten and made by peiple from northern part of haiti in the area of8 Port de Paix , Borgne , Anse a Foleur and Pilate called fufu.

    hoping I can find breadfruit. it looks good but I've never cooked crab before. it's a whole new ball game for me. I only really like the claws and legs tbh. do you have a video on cooking Haitian food with crab. also do you think this would taste good with a lil shrimp in it as well?     You did a great job with the tomtom dish. However, I have never seen a haitian eating it with a fork and knife, Lol. To really enjoy it, use your fingers. BTW, I started calling tomtom fufu when the farine (powder) came out in the market in the early 90's.

    This looks really good! But I must say that's not the way to make the stew for tonmtonm. I guess that's your preference 🤷🏽‍♀️... and a tip: try not to use any glass container next time for mashing the breadfruit. If it breaks while you're doing it, you'll lose the breadfruit...

    Can you make tablet made with sesame seeds many know it with peanuts or coconut but there is a sesame version too🙏🏽❤❤❤

      Misa idk the spelling but you’re talking about gigire or something like that. I always buy the packaged version at the hispanic corner store. I also love tablet made with cashews 😋. I’m bout to what’s app my mama on what to bring back from Haiti
