The Mecalac is what we call in Germany a egg-laying wool-milk-pig. The intention of the inventors was to get a machine which can be used more or less for everything a contractor needs to do on smaller building project.
Somehow the machine is like a pair of pliers, something half for everything, nothing right for nothing. It is a poor forklift, a poor wheel loader, a poor telescopic loader and a poor mobile excavator. However, if someone wants to have a single machine on job site for all digging, lifting and transport the machine can be a solution.
For fitters the Mecalac is a nightmare. Complicated, many cables and wires, delicate structure and many joints.
