Another strategy to help control recoil I never hear mentioned is pumping the trigger on controller. If you pump the trigger at the correct pace you can get the same fire rate as holding it down but with considerably easier recoil. Kinda like how you control cars in some racing games by pumping the gas.
It’s a strategy that doesn’t take anything away from recoil control/knowledge or recoil smoothing in any way whatsoever! It actually immediately helps add to both of those aspects of the game. And of course it’s use is somewhat situational (aiding guns that you’re having trouble with at a distance).

Side note if you vibrate left and right by about 2 to 5 pixels you have virtually no recoil. It's called jitter aiming and it's absolutely busted for long range fights.

Tip: if you’re on controller strafe one way(left as example) while shooting and pull your aim the opposite way (so strafe left and pull your aim slightly right). It’s called recoil smoothening. It’s an actual mechanic in which your character is moving horizontally so your vertical recoil is reduced significantly ❤
you dont because there is a built-in function that remove horizontal recoil when tracking someone so you just pull a bit down in the direction you're tracking (this requires moving at a certain speed, if ur target is super far you will have to move slowly so you can Left/Right spam or jitteraim if on mnk (or use macros but dont)) you can also use recoil smoothing (abuse small LEFT/RIGHT strafe spam)

Duuuuude, you need to practice a lot then. It is really not that hard. In any new FPS game, it’s the first thing I do, shoot all the guns in a wall to see the recoil pattern, then remember what counter balance to apply to each. In Apex, it is fairly simple because, as he said, it basically comes down to heavy ammo and light. On burst rifle ( nemesis and hemlock) the recoil pulls up quite straight up. So instead of pulling down continuously, you want to slightly pull as you click for a burst. You will beam people 200 clicks away.
Ehm this is the most basic and actually inefficient way. A better way is to strafe left and right as you shoot. So when you strafe in a direction, pull in the opposite direction. Its hella easy, efficient as hell and works for all guns

If you can't get that down, start by just pulling down. That eliminates most of the recoil with some room for error.

The best way to control recoil is to strafe right or left and to move your mouse the opposite direction of the strafe while shooting. Trust me

As someone who used the spitfire in titanfall, you don't need recoil control you just need to blast
