Hello Dr. Franke. As a Masters student doing my research in the field of earthquake engineering, your videos have been highly useful for me. Indeed, the way you explain different topic makes it much more clear and understandable compared to papers and text books. Many thanks for making this videos.

That was great. Please make some videos about linear time history analysis using Etabs or Sap2000 for practicing engineers. My living area is prone to near-fault earthquakes.

Hello, I just want to thank you very much for these videos . You have helped me understand a lot of things. I am Master's student at Polytechnic Montreal. And I have decided to do my research project about the effect of scaling time histories on the behavior of a structure (most likely bridges). I just started, so the objective of my subject is not very clear yet. I just wanted to ask if you have any recommendations about subjects that may be interesting to do more research on.

Hello, thank you for this nice course. I have a question and hope someone could help me with. I feel confused here that the time histories which are used as INPUT to structures are to be scaled to the target RESPONSE spectrum of the structures. Why's that? It would sound more logic to me if these time histories are to be scaled to some 'target INPUT time history' other than target RESPONSE spectrum. Thanks.

My question is ..When we use weight other than 1,1?Is there any criteria to give weight in different manner ?

Hello Sir, your slide is really helpful and improve my understanding in seismic for plant facilities. Looking forward for your static analysis design example and comparison of static or dynamic analysis approach which one is lead for optimization studies. Appreciate your assistance. Thank You.
