Thank you, Tony, for the updates. Yes glad to hear that your family is doing well and you had no damage. Heart and prayers to the people that have lost so much and loved ones.
We got clobbered in Greenville, SC... wasn't expecting so much damage... hoping for power soon and my "retaining wall" is no longer retaining!!!..... but happy to have my Cruise News for My Face back!!!!
My daughter and husband lives in Madeira Beach,Florida and unfortunately their house was flooded. I am thankful that she and her husband were safe because they evacuated on Thursday. They were allowed to go home today for the first time. Prayers appreciated 🙏🏻
I watched people on the Mardi Gras not washing their hands, it amazed me at one point I was sitting near the washing station and not one person washed their hands.
I Tony. Continued prayers for everyone who is still dealing with the aftermath of this storm. It's awesome that the cruise lines are doing better and longer cruises including better Internet for those who can work from anywhere. ROTS , it's never fun getting sick on vacation. Wash your hands often! Sounds like the Villa Vie is getting ready to go. She got a cabin with her sister originally. He had his own cabin. So yes, all 3 are sailing. Her and her sister in one and him in the other. For now anyways.😊 As always thank you for all you do ❤
I have cruised in October on Holland America and they have had a turkey dinner for the day of our Canadian Thanksgiving . Always a nice touch and much appreciated. Great video , thank you
Tony, the couple that’s been doing all the interviews and doing the blog on TH-cam. They did a series called Villa V Odyssey cribs and there is a couple on the ship who bought either three or four cabins next to each other and had them renovated into one giant cabin so they have two full-size bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchentype the and a living room with an office.
Thanksgiving cruiser here. I’ve done the 4 day thanksgiving weekend cruise every year. Relaxing. Love it. Usually on Friday you watch them put up a Christmas tree and decorate ship.
@@lalaelena I live in CA so I go out of either Long Beach which is Carnival or Los Angeles which is Royal Caribbean. Every year in January I see which one is cheaper and go with that one. This year is Royal Caribbean.
My family and extended family went on a Royal Christmas cruise. The ship was beautiful and they even brought on a priest to have a midnight service and a non denominational service Christmas day in the theater. Best no stress Christmas ever!!
Blows my mind that some people don’t wash their hands after using the toilet…have we learned nothing after Covid? Come on people, it takes 20 seconds, just wash your hands!!
We sailed on HAL for Thanksgiving. It was our cruise from hell-o. As with any cruise during that period of time, there were a lot of kids. Problem was that the HAL staff had no idea how to take care of them. The kids were climbing up the statues around the pool and jumping off of them into the pool. None of the staff said a word to them. HAL is just not prepared to handle children in large numbers. That was our last HAL cruise.
I live in Augusta, GA. We need big prayers this way. The hurricane hit the US hard, and thousands without power trees down homes definitely destroyed . It's a true nightmare here. I need a cruise
Tony, Glad to see another post. With no posts the last couple of days and seeing the devastation up the west coast of Florida, Iwas concerned you didn't fare so well. Hope this post was an indication you, your family, and your property are OK. Always love your energy, humor and vids!
Thanks Tony for the info and sensitivity for those having difficult times during and after Helene. So much devastation and loss. Glad you, Jenny B, and family are doing good.
I was on the NCL Pride of America last Thanksgiving week. On Thanksgiving Day, the ship was docked in Kaua’i and I went to a luau. It was my most unique Thanksgiving ever!
My daughter did her residency in Asheville, NC and she was told by her friends still working there that the road between the hospital and the clinic is completely flooded. The hospital is currently unable to do dialysis due to lack of clean water. To give perspective on how high the water is and since I can’t post the pic, all you can see of the Wendy’s restaurant on the road is the very top of the roof and the sign. If you are able, please donate to the Red Cross to help all the hurricane victims. Stay safe and God bless.
Your buddy Don calls the GI virus “ Gastronomical” 😩 Christmas- we were so fortunate to go on Celebrity Summit, last year for Christmas- what a wonderful experience- Santa and lots of caroling! We asked children sailing what they thought- they were missing home for Christmas and being with friends. We, being empty nesters, too far from family, really enjoyed! The weather that day was raining, so all music was inside, I loved it!! Wish they had a brunch, because we wanted to sleep in, being our first morning at sea.
I've cruised during Thanksgiving. Good thing... no cooking, bad thing.... I'm a wing person and they tend to serve breast only. Have a great time where ever you are.
My 2nd cruise was in early December, shortly after the restart on the Carnival Breeze. The ship was decked out (no pun intended) with Christmas decorations, and it was only 40% full at most. I really enjoyed that cruise, I think mainly because of the Christmas spirit on board. It's the most wonderful time of the year (shout out Ludacris). I may start booking early December cruises regularly going forward, hurricane season is also over by then. Thoughts and prayers to the people dealing with Helene in the Southeast.
I’ve always been a quiet sub. However in this case I must reach out. Your hurricane has brought back memories of when hurricane Camille hit Mississippi in 1969. I was a 14 yr old Navy brat in Pensacola. We had winds but no rain. Afterward when my father retired after 30 yrs in the Navy and we moved to Houston for. NASA job. As we drove through Biloxi and Pascagoula Miss. on hwy 90. I saw the total devastation of the coastal cities. This new storm brought back those awful memories and I was concerned for my follow gulf coast folks at Florida’s big bend. As seen on the news, it’s want I remember of those awful times. It stirs something deep inside. I’ve been living near the Texas coast since then. We have gone through several storms over the years. But never…. what Camille left with her close to 200 mph winds. I’m so thankful y’all are safe. I grieve for the area and those hurt by this terrible storm. God Bless seeyalaterbye
I was on Paradise back to back. We got back Saturday night at 10:00 pm. You could either get off then or spend the night on the ship. I was home by 8:10 this morning. We went in circles for a couple of days. Lots of people got seasick but they tried to keep us away from the storm. It saddened me to see how poorly some of the cruisers treated the crew. I was very impressed by how the crew went above and beyond to make our delay as good as possible.
I’m on the Radiance of the Seas right now. At the beginning of last week we started getting emails about late boarding because of cleaning but they didn’t say exactly why. It started out as 2 hours late then 5 then they backed it to 3 hours. They have gone to some of the Covid procedures by having staff get your food at the Windjammer and having everyone use the had sanitize. They also haven’t served chicken or turkey until this evenings dinner as we are leaving Seattle.
We at Lakewood Ranch, are fortunate- so much damage to our islands and western NC - my son left Hot Springs last year and has his house for sale there-hope it’s safe. So much damage in Asheville- prayers for all! 🙏
Hi Tony, I was extra happy to see your post today. A) i was getting worried abouy and family with that storm front which was so violent B) Always enjoy your posts 😀
Hi Tony. We were worried about you and your family during hurricane. Heard there was power outages in your town also. So happy to hear you are all ok. We lived on Belleair Beach 5:05 FL for a year back in 1990s and can’t imagine what hurricane has done to that area and gulf boulevard going south. Thankful you ok and back posting again. 😊
We took a princess cruise that was the week before the week of Christmas. The ship was beautifully decorated. The crew all had long faces the day we got back to port. We were told our cruise had about 30 kids on it and they were expecting over 300 on the next one. Go before school gets out.
The couple that got engaged on the Villa Vi are getting married on the Panama canal and she bought her cabin with her sister! There is a couple on board that have 3 cabins in a row and they allowed them to take down etc! Follow Villa Vi cribs thru Mid Life Cruising-lots of tours if cabins and the interview with the love couple. We have cruised at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years! The decorations are the best!!!
On 12-22-2022, until 12-29-2022 I was on a Mexican Rivera cruise with HAL. The cruise ship was decorated for the holidays. Many gingerbread houses with a toy train circling them. The gingerbread houses were gorgeous. Holiday dinner in the MDR was delicious. I had a great time during Christmas.
We live across the peninsula from u in N. FL and we got gust up to 70 mph. We also have fam in Spring Hill just off 19 near the interchange to Witchie Wachee. Heard they got hammered, thoughts and prayers to all infected by Helene.
My cousin is in TN, she's safe but yes a damn broke and roads are washed out houses are still under water. Thankfully she lives above the damn but getting down and around is going to be a big challenge.
I'll be going on my 2nd Royal Thanksgiving cruise. First was out of Cape Liberty and it was very cold and rainy for the first 2 days, until we got to Port Canaveral. I enjoyed the relaxation instead of the hurried celebrations at home. This year we are sailing out of Port Everglades and will hopefully be able to enjoy swimming the first day. However the turkey dinner left much to be desired and I will not be having that again. The Christmas tree was put up before we disembarked.
So glad y’all are ok Tony! I live in NC, lost power but got it back yesterday and I’m so thankful but WNC is horribly bad, like you said. Chimney Rock is gone, Lake Lure is gone. I think most if not all of Dollywood is gone. Asheville is bad and people can’t get out. Utter devastation. A lot of it isn’t being broadcasted. Please pray for them! ♥️🙏🏼♥️
Relieved and thankful you and Jenny are okay. Interesting about the HAL festive holiday dinners. Will be on a HAL cruise to S. America for the occasion... our first Thanksgiving at sea!
Just my husband and I traveled Holland America Thanksgiving 2022. Be prepared for large family gatherings. Children of all ages, which was a shock to us as we have been on several sailings and never encountered this situation. The pools and hot tubs were basically controlled by teenagers and younger.
Glad to hear you and Jenny B are okay, you said it right, ones fortune may be another's misfortune. Praying for the region. Just back from the Crown Princess last cruise to Alaska, all of us came home with Covid. Second time I've contracted it on a cruise. If I could stay out of the elevators I would.
So glad you are doing ok and we sure love and enjoy the channel. I travel every Thanksgiving because my family doesn’t care about Thanksgiving food and I don’t want to cook all that. Love it! I’m going on the Carnival Liberty this year!
Hey, Hey, Hey Tony and Jenny, Jewl and I just got off that Radiance cruise. No one in our cruise party got ill. They don't have the washy-washy stations on Radiance, so we always washed our hands before heading to the buffet AND used the sanitizer. All that being said, it might have been the chicken.😝
We cruise almost every Thanksgiving week, mostly NCL but this year it will be MSC. Anytime at sea is a good time! But one of our favorite weeks - weather is nice!

Staff can fall ill, and unknowingly start the spread. As a Nurse I went to another hospital for a meeting grabbed a soup in their cafeteria, did the meeting, and ended up with major Noro virus. I told the hospital what I ate in their cafeteria, and yes it was in that cream soup. I was down 3 days.
Problem is, We spread the virus before we even know we have it. Once we exhibit the effects of the virus - it's too late - we have already spread it for at least a day prior.
I was on Grand Princess almost a month ago in Alaska. I always washed my hands. They had wash stations at entrance of buffet room. Also I tried to stay away from the crowds. I always wore my mask. It was my first cruise in 5 years. I was nervous! Gee I wish I could do my work and cruise. I'd be jealous 😂

Still amazed that 15 minutes, 1500 views and only 1 in 4 hit the like button 👍. Great show Tony

Glad you and JB are OK. Thinking of you throughout.
Glad you’re safe.
Thanks Tony…glad you and Jenny B are safe. Have a good night. 💤
Thanks Tony for the info and sensitivity for those having difficult times during and after Helene. So much devastation and loss. Glad you, Jenny B, and family are doing good.
We were on the cancelled Radiance cruise in May. No handwashing station at the buffet. Sanitizer doesn’t kill the norovirus.
Just go and wash your hands!! They don’t have to remind people to do so!
I was on the NCL Pride of America last Thanksgiving week. On Thanksgiving Day, the ship was docked in Kaua’i and I went to a luau. It was my most unique Thanksgiving ever!
I have friends in Spring Hill and they were expecting the worse, being in Myrtle Beach, we got it worse. Glad you are ok.
Glad to hear you and Jenny are safe!
I was on the quantum September 9 and they were on point with keeping everything clean and promoting Washing your hands
Thankful for your safety. We live a little south of Tampa. Feeling very grateful as well 😊

I have cruised during holiday season. I cruised on a Princess ship and it was all decked out for Christmas. So beautiful and such fun.

Lol my first time on Royal this surprised me
People who don’t or won’t wash their hands should be refused entry to the buffet and the dining rooms.

Cruised last New Years and cruising this Thanksgiving. Can’t wait to give Thanksgiving a go.
5% of Dayton was still without power this morning. It's amazing Helene pushed that far north in less than 12 hours of the eye coming ashore.
Glad you're okay! I was on the Disney Fantasy and not impacted much.

I want to go on Disney for Not So Scary or Very Merry Sailing. It will be like a party from the park.
We live in North East TN above Gatlinburg and Asheville, it is awful up here, devastating. Most major interstates are closed in the area.
We have a scheduled cruise on Princess over thanksgiving. First time sailing over a holiday.
Glad you made out without damage.
We have cruised through Christmas and New Years with Royal Caribbean and this Christmas we will cruise to Mexico

Halloween party in the atrium on the Encore Panama cruise was almost too much fun
Relieved and thankful you and Jenny are okay. Interesting about the HAL festive holiday dinners. Will be on a HAL cruise to S. America for the occasion... our first Thanksgiving at sea!
Glad you are all OK and escaped unscathed xx
Just my husband and I traveled Holland America Thanksgiving 2022. Be prepared for large family gatherings. Children of all ages, which was a shock to us as we have been on several sailings and never encountered this situation. The pools and hot tubs were basically controlled by teenagers and younger.

All that being said, it might have been the chicken.😝
One couple on the Villa Vie bought THREE cabins next to each other and we're able to renovate them into a single cabin with multiple room layout.
Love your T-shirt. Available to Australia?
I don’t think so unfortunately
You seem to have found the sweet spot in Florida.
We cruised Thanksgiving many years ago on Carnival Conquest. It was nice but there were alot of children that week. We never had a problem with it.
We cruise almost every Thanksgiving week, mostly NCL but this year it will be MSC. Anytime at sea is a good time! But one of our favorite weeks - weather is nice!
We joined the Radiance of the Seas in Vancouver after the outbreak for the repositioning. My understanding is that the final determination was salmonella. Initially there were no chicken dishes and limited egg dishes until the supply was replenished in the US.
Hi Tony i was watching CNN news the last couple of days and it looked horrendous to say the least I hope you and Jenny are okay a all the people in the surrounding counties stay safe cheers Tony
I live in Marion county, and we are almost neighbors, fortunately, we did not experience any damage from Hurricane Helene. I enjoy your vlogs especially the cruise to the ABC Islands. I will visit the ABC Islands Feb 2025. Wash your hands ya'll
God’s blessing to everyone affected by the storm.
Cruised Royal for Thanksgiving once. Turkey with all the trimmings. Very nice, but I make better stuffing and gravy.
Prayers for all affected 😢the storm .Are those t shirts available?
I blame selfish people vacationing while sick. If you’re sick stay at home.

Cruise at Easter on Carnival and there was no Easter dinner. Was disappointed but it didn't ruin my vacation

Off topic but, congrats on your weight loss journey. It's obviously working for you.
