    Good day. I purchased the 14” .75 hp pump. It doesn’t have the threaded ports as yours and my 1.25” Intex hose does not fit the pump’s 1.5 port. Also, when I backwash and rinsed it came out relatively clean instead of dirty as yours. I believe I used the proper sand, #20. I cut off the end of the hose to accommodate the pump. I’ve got a small leak but nothing too serious but still bothersome. Do you have any suggestions on making a proper connection?
    I’ve contacted Vevor but they’re BSing me around. I’m either going to find a solution or return the pump.
    Thank you kindly for any suggestions.

    I need your opinion.
    I was considering buying a wireless vacuum until I saw this video. The vacuum would be around $300. Then again, this filter upgrade seems very necessary and might be sufficient to hook up the blue drain hose and a more simple vacuum attachment to vacume out the debris and green residues after a storm.
    Did that make sense?
    Forgot to mention my pool size. It is 16' x 32'

    I just installed this very model and your video helped so much! I previously purchased the lower model and battled connecting it for days and gave up, sent it back, got this model. The only things I'm questioning are these:
    1) Is it normal for the hoses to shake when it's running? Both return hoses (I have a salt system) shake a lot. The hose from the skimmer doesn't, but the one from the lower level pool outlet shakes a little.
    2) The pressure gauge dial jiggles. But the pressure is between 5 and 10.

    • @LifeLessOrdinary
      @LifeLessOrdinary  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your pressure seems ok but I’ve never personally had much shacking going on. Are you giving it enough water? I would open all inlets and see what happens

    •  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@LifeLessOrdinary I have a video of it and maybe I'm just overthinking it. The return hose from the filter is shaking from the pressure I believe but I see in your video it does the same thing.

      @LifeLessOrdinary  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question. This Vevor pump was sent to me by the company and I was very happy with it all pool season long. But I’ve also had great luck with my Intex sand filter. The Vevor definitely is a bigger pump so it’s more powerful, but the Intex was maybe a little easier to set and the plumbing is the opposite of the Vevor so the hose ended up in a different spot. If prices were identical for the same size pump, I would probably continue with the Intex. Both are great products in my case.
