Strap in. I have theories. There was also a clone in a box at the beginning. That was a different clone. She didn't want current clone to end up like that, so she helped him escape. (Note Military Jeff has shorter hair as box clone is taken away.) Now, Military Jeff is trying to get back to normal life with his wife, but she's depressed about the escaped clone. Then Clone Jeff writes to her, and she writes back, and Military Husband Jeff sees them. He goes off by himself. She shows up, and he confronts her and then cries on her (bonfire scene). Later, we see Clone Jeff come back passing Military Jeff's grave (confirming that this takes place in the future. The dates are 2054 - 2143.) New pictures on the wall. She's old now too. He stats with her until she dies and then buries her too. He doesn't age cause he's a clone. A yellow leaf is a dead leaf. And now all he has is a mind full of memories... ghosts, as he goes on by himself. Those are my thoughts, anyway. Also, JEFF WHAT THE HELL???!!!

Generally, I don't get emotional watching mvs, but this one made me cry when I saw it for the first time. I was waiting for Roscoe's reaction cuz I knew it's worth every second
I can tell a clone by his earring. There's no earring in the fight by the fire scene, so I think it's her husband being jealous of the clone.
He returned home, hung the uniform in the closet (= I won't leave you anywhere again), the clone project was closed (clone body parts in boxes, people taking something out of their house).
I feel like when her hair is in a ponytail, it's a sign that she can't fully express her feelings. But then she still accepts her feelings.
I think she loved both. She corresponds with the clone and keeps a wooden ring, but even after her husband’s death there is a metal ring on her hand.
And I like to imagine that this song about endless love could be sung by any of the three of them. Of course, in the video a clone sings her, but her husband loves her and she loves them. Maybe someday Jeff will record another version from her husband's point of view or we'll hear a female version. The versions of Dum Dum and Why do you stay were so good.
And yes, Jeff's acting is mesmerizing 😍
(God, I want a big picture with all the frames on the stairs. One - with an astronaut suit. But nothing else can be seen. Knowing Jeff's love for detail, I think there's still a lot to unearth there.)
I also noticed the earring this time through. I went back and watched ghost and yellow leaf with that in mind and I feel like I was able to follow the story more clearly.
I don't know why... I watch his mv 10 time and i cry all 10 time. It must be his acting, his very sad smile in the end, make my heart broken.

The way I am here for Roscoe reacting to Jeff and him screaming "Oh Shut Up" got me so good. The feet kicking over the parallels are so valid. He is SO good. The hand to chest is also too relatable, Roscoe. In Ghost she was married to the astronaut (silver metal ring), husband went off to space, she saved the clone and took him to the house, they eventually fell in love he braided the vine ring and gave it to her in their "wedding". Then when the original husband came back he was trying to put the experiment back in the box, so to speak, and she turned the clone loose. I was reading her "fireball fridaying" with her astronaut back. Like she's mad, she blames him for the clone being gone. This mostly felt like her life with her astronaut husband (her first husband, since she married the clone with the vine ring and blindfold 'ceremony') while the clone is out in the world. Agreed she was writing letters to the clone, and the husband was mad (glaring through doors etc). When the clone comes back the husband is already dead, and the wife is now passing, so he holds her hand eventually buries her before riding off again.

Dude - that’s not the clone you’re talking about. The one with her throughout the video is the real husband. (Yes, the husband is dead by the end of the video, as she dies by the video.) Look at the dates. The husband died at 89 years old. They lived their life together. She loves her husband AND the clone. That was the husband by the bonfire. Easy way to differentiate - Barn or Horse in the image is the clone. Everything else is husband. (BTW that’s HER in the astronaut picture on the wall.)
Haven't spotted her picture on the wall. That adds even more depths to the whole story. So it means there could be a lot of subtle details yet to see in both, I mean Ghost and Yellow Leaf

In my opinion when they're by the fire on the couch that is her husband, not the clone. She is exchanging letters with the clone and her husband sees it (when he's peeking through the door) and so when they're by the fire and he looks at her he feels that their relationship is changed, maybe she still loves him but not in the same way and I think he sort of blames himself because that's his fault in the end since he """gave""" her the clone.
This music video is so so SO BEAUTIFUL it makes me cry every single time, Jeff is so talented 🤧

I personally I think it's more like a literal continuation of ghost, where she goes back to live with Og Jeff, but she doesn't feel the same way towards him, but she fell in love with the clone, because even with the same face they are not the same, (because I believe that we fall in love with the person not how they look) and that Og Jeff realizes that the relationship that he and she had can not be the same as when he left and left the clone to replace him, no matter how hard he tries to make everything look like it was before he left, and that she seeing Og Jeff desperate decides to stay with him but always thinking and waiting for the clone Jeff.

My theory is that the husband die and become a ghost that came alive and visit her not a clone. She in ghost liberate him but they continue to have contact until she die.
It's the clone that combes back, the ring is the selfmade one because she took of the metal one she got from her husband. The one looking at her at the fire is her husband, not knowing what to do because she is unhappy and drinking. The picture is the one of the wedding of the clone and the selfmade ring. The husband doesn't have the things in the back...
clone : 4 connectors on back, seen with horse, wearing white shirt, black gilet, black coat and top hat, live in barn.
human jeff : military uniform(remember he put the military coat and the tie into the closet in one of the scenes then change to white puffy shirt), white puffy shirt, tie, no horse, live in house. (seen spying on wife, drinking heavily and arguing with her in the campfire.)
pretty easy to differentiate.
Loved this story line. At the end of Ghost they came to collect the clone. But she was attached already and freed him.

It's the husband in front of the bon fire. He is in the front yard burning the flower arch from their wedding. the picture was hitting at the arch. He burned it in anger.
I have also been waiting for your reaction, thank you! So many theories…Is it a clone or a robot? 😮 There were comments on “Ghost” about the horse in the house. My theory is that the horse is just like 2nd Jeff not quite human and that’s why it was in the house. And still with him to the end. Someone should ask him at his concert clone or robot that are taking place now in Asia after he sings “Ghost” and “Yellow Leaf” Go Sats! I would love to see your reaction to Jeff’s MV announcement of his Asia Tour named “Space Shuttle No. 8” It is a masterpiece as well. And his first album was released on Feb 8 same as the MV “Yellow Leaf”. Although no MV check out “Almost Over You” it is in English. It is addictive.

This experimental is a transfer the memory to the clone to another clone and another clone and she is a staff of this project that know after the experiment the clone will be kill and she help some of them back home and give him love .

My theory: the stool between them with a photo was a representation of a baby she lost which is why by the fire his head is on her belly. And I also think since letters were so delayed, he was dead by the time she got it.

The military one went out to space. He created the clone one to leave with the wife, to leave his life, get married (metal ring) and everything that military one should do while on earth. Time pass, the clone started to have the feeling for her (the hand made ring) and she also had tge feeling for the clone.
The military came back. The clone gone leaving in the barn but kept contact to the wife via letters. The military upset cuz he thought that the created clone would only be only his representative but not the feeling.
When the military passed away. The wife told the clone via the last letter. The clone came to say goddbye and sent her to heaven for the last time.

Yellow leaf/ Gosth / Lucid.... I do think the 3 songs are a story.
I think that is why the Female is present on the 3 songs.

The story behind this mv is that the husband realises in the first mv that he's starting to lose her, so he stops working in the military and comes home. He starts to become a husband to her, but she's in love with the clone and keeps her distance from the husband. She writes letters to the clone.
The husband can't figure out why she's so distant and think she's having an affair with someone.
He confronts her, they have a fight and then she tries to forget the clone and fulfills her role as a wife until the husband dies
Meanwhile the clone never ages, he returns when she's old and stays with her until she passes away and moves on

I feel real sad with Og Jeff. He do not thing wrong. But when he arrrive and take his suit in closet (that mean he will never go anywhere again). He found his belove wife love that AI not him anymore(she keep the pic and wood ring till her die)
