I am probably about your age. I too usually had to stay home on Saturdays to watch the younger kids. The line up on CBS was a LIFE SAVER! The Jeffersons, Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart & Carol Burnett Show ! And after 1975 - 11:30 the new NBC's Saturday Night Live ! So it was great to stay home on Saturdays , By the end of the 1970s - it all changed: Saturday nights was LOVE BOAT and Fantasy Island.
@LannieLord I'm 66 years old now. 2024. I had two sisters who would go out on dates and my parents would go out as well. there was no cable satellites or anything like that.
Still watch MTM today❤ Wanted to be her. Look back at The Andy Griffith Show where e'rybody went to church on Sunday and see that by the time MTM rolled around, the innocence was already eroding. That slippery slope? We're at the bottom. It's gonna be alright.
I grow up with the best shows ever . They don't make them anymore. Miss old school days big time ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I will never forget mary Tyler and Rhoda . My two favorite actors and never forgotten never.
Thank you for posting these without cutting off the endings, like some people do, and including the credits.
Great show
I used to watch this program when I was in my early teens on Saturday nights when the rest of the family went out.

@LannieLord the people in those TV programs had the sort of class and style which seems to be gone these days.
