Nice 1959 Eldorado Seville! I bought a '59 Fleetwood off Ebay back in the summer of 2005 and it came out of a barn, looking just like this car. Mine is the top-of-the-line production sedan (excluding the limousine and the Eldorado Brougham designed by Pininfarina) and I love it. Took a year to get it roadworthy, but worth every cent! Bless you guys for saving yet another '59 from the crusher!
Thanks for posting ,that's makes me think about the 60 Eldorado 6437 I owned 30 years ago.I remember very well the christmas tree when openeing a door, mine had no A/C nor cruise control. I had to sell it when I made build my house in 1987, now I own a 53 Chevy Handyman, also very rare in France where I live.
@killercrew10 Thanks for the info. I had a 59 cad 4dr that sat since '74, I got running. It ran smooth after about 30 minutes of running, real smooth, like a new cad does. I put about 10,000 miles on it and did very little to it. Awesome cars!
Wow idles really low and sounds awesome! Thank your friend for me for not revving the shit out of it after sitting that long. I've seen some people do that. I hate it!!
Man your lucky if its a 59, I drove a worn out pink 59 caddy 4dr, it picked up more women than anything I've seem, always wanting to ride in it or get their picture taken on it or in it??? LOL, they went crazy over that 59 caddy, a friend of mine sold his Porshe after seeing the effects of that 59 cad... I sold it before I got in TROUBLE...
this car is so rare. that is the original miles, that car is in too good a shape to have 140,000 soming miles, the interior is sweet still, im jealouse, great find!!!!!!
"aint a bad place to hang out" i can surely see that! :D one glance up with the camera and i see so many nice old bodies :) also i love the 59 cadi kudos on the real tri power AMAZING!
Awesome car, however there is a piece or two of information that is not quite accurate -- The "Q" Engine with three two-barrel carburetors was standard on the Eldorado series (Brougham, Seville and convertible) but optional on all other series (my 1959 Fleetwood came with one Carter 4-barrel carburetor from the factory). Also, The Eldorado Biarritz, the Eldorado Seville coupe and the Fleetwood 60 Special had the special "V"s in the backup light cluster, whether they had the Q engine or not.
Just one quick correction: the tri-power carbs only gave an extra 20 HP, not 45. The standard Carter and Rochester 4 Jets provided 325 HP and the tri-powers 345 HP ... so only a 20 HP increase. Most of the tri-powers had the air suspensions with the air compressor running continuously and often also an AC, eating up much of that 20 HP anyways. I have a Series 62 Sedan with the Rochester 4 jet.
Yeah, I like the ones who say, "break it in like your going to drive it" and thats what they usually do is BREAK ....it in. "Duuhhh, I've gone through the 454 in my 73 Nova 4dr, 3 times in the last few months" LOL
yes, thats why it starved itself out, we had tried to start it earlier, but it acted like it was flooded, so we let it sit awhile and when I hit the record button this time, it busted right off...
Dan is that 390ci a Big Block or Small. I bet it would suck up tha gas with those 3 Carbs. Nice 59 Cadillac I love those old Caddy's. My friend bought a 1967 Cadillac Coupe De Ville 2 DR HT. Its got tha 425ci small block 4 speed atuo. Tha Engine Got rebuilt because tha last owner blew it up. It had one snaped rod & one twisted LOL. But now it's runnin' & perrin' like a kitten. Cya Later.
WOW, that's a bunch of HP for the time frame. I wonder how many of these were stripped of their engines to make rods? Forget the stupid 57 in the background. Dime a dozen. Restore this thing and you'd have something worth a pretty penny, so to speak, especially if your production numbers are correct. Power windows, power door locks, pretty early for that kind of stuff. Great (real) antique find.
hi may i ask what is that big can next to the power steering i know on mercedes they are use for oil filter so please let me know i love you vedios they wsome and also i love you kids they are very sweet .
just a quick correction, there is no such thing as an eldorado 4 door there was only seville's and bairritz'. there is such thing as a fleetwood though.
And a Sedan Deville, not forgetting the Fleetwood 75 Limo/Sedan. The Fleetwood you mentioned is the Sixty Special 6029M with the rocket vents on the sides.
Bradley De Santa I actually should recorrect myself there is such thing as an eldorado 4 door I forgot about the 1959 eldorado brougham that was supposed to be there very top of the line but there was only 100 ever made (one dropped in the ocean during transportation) I've done a lot more research since my dad got a 1959 cadillac coupe Deville.
Bradley De Santa and yes there are a few 4 door models for the 1959 cadillac but they aren't in the same class as the eldorados the only other 4 door that gets close to the eldorados is the Fleetwoods which like you said have the side scoops but they also have the same rear end as the eldos with the extra bullets and cadillac "v's" over the reflectors in the bumper plus more similarities
that is a very nice ol Cadillac as far as caddys go but god man fix the exahust leaks on that ol girl it totally ruins that old car sounding like that!

truly an amazing find! That engine noise is beautiful, considering how long its been sitting!
No, it's not a bad place to hang out..... Looks like hot rod heaven to me.. hahaha That Caddy sounds sweet..
great find! she aint dead yet, lots of life left in her
59 Caddies wrote a few pages in the book of cool. Such classy cars! I love the 3 deuces!

The Caddy sounds like Christine. Love the background music.

Love that color.
That's been my dream car since I've been a little boy and still is
Pursue your dream and never stop till you get it!!!!!

That 390 Tri-power V8 has the best engine sound ever!!
I'm in love with this car...
My ultimate dream car, this exact model and colour :( Great work

I'm happy if this car could be saved and restored :-)
I need a 59 caddy like this one!!!!!!
nice sound
I'm looking for one as my first car. .. I'd rather push that Cadillac than drive a Honda!
The dog was like "What kinda exhaust you got on this thing?"
looks like a great place to hang out!

Awesome vids and cars. Shop looks awesome too. If I lived near you guys i would be there all the damn time untill you threw me out. HAHA!
nice bel air and caddy to bad my caddy my caddy was that old
that old girl isnt even broken in yet
There was a fleetwood in 59 which is what i have (and is a 4 door), but the only 4 door eldorado was the brougham of which less than 100 were built.
Its car heaven
Awsome car
NICE !!!!!!!!
When it comes to getting attention, the 1959 Cadillac does NOT play fair, and it gracefully doesn't care to play fair...
hi may i ask what is that big can next to the power steering i know on mercedes they are use for oil filter so please let me know i love you vedios they wsome and also i love you kids they are very sweet .
awesome stuff
Thats the life.
Hey Dan, where is this car now and what's going on with it? This is truly a treasure.
ain't a bad place to hang out
@ 1:29 the dog is checking the rear...
Usually the electrical system would be the problem. This car has full power.....windows
and electric seats.
i hope you changed the motor oil before you started it.
I wanna see the vid of this car when its completed
wow..great find.. but up here in canada everything more than 20 yrs old is rusted away and gone and crushed.. nothing much left around due to rust
just a quick correction, there is no such thing as an eldorado 4 door there was only seville's and bairritz'. there is such thing as a fleetwood though.

Hi, do you stell have the 59 cadillac? That car looks in super great shape. I wish i had a car like that.
Where is it now Dan?
Eldorado Fleetwood sounds about right for the 4-doors
The four-door version that you refer to was called the Eldorado Brougham
By the way it was not by Fleetwood it was by pininfarina
whats he going to do with it
Love the Cadi, you selling it?
Ah music to my ears!!! What size motor is in it?
Travis R. 390v8
