What cable did you use from retroscaler to the tv? Using the official ps1 rgb still sucks would the s video be better?

PS1 AV Cable conected to RetroScaler 2x, then RetroScaler 2x HDMI cable connected to TV.

Wich Ps1 do you have? My is 7501 and is Black and White on retro scaler...I tried S video, RCA...same result.

I have tested on my PS1 Fat. It gives me black and white image. Probably it's SCPH-5001 / SCPH-5501 / SCPH-5503 / SCPH-7003.
The main issue I think it's because my PS1 was probably transcoded from NTSC to PAL-M (common in Brazil).
The same issue happens with my Mega Drive/Genesis 2017 by Tectoy (another brazilian model) and my Dynavision (NES Clone).

But those PAL-M consoles works with colors on SCART to HDMI Converter (I have videos about it on my channel).

Av2hdmi is very bad. I bought one and i broke it in frustration. Any tv with rca can do better.

I still have mine but RetroScaler 2x and the simplest SCART conversor are way better.
