Went to a show the other night. Holy shit it was good to see live music again. Wasn't even that heavy but I loved it.. Dooms Children. Wade from Alexisonfire is the lead singer/guitarist!
Previously was uploaded only as bunch of several songs. It was uploaded too long time ago and TH-cam has deleted all the streams but 240p, so it's the best quality on TH-cam. Another one from the archives during these unprecedented pandemic quarantine times. I will upload random show from my personal collection on a regular basis now. Even if some shows are already on youtube, my version will be in best possible quality as long as it's rendered and uploaded matching TH-cam algorithms. @@JayTor2112 how do you even know which gen is it? Unless you know exactly the camcorder model and know how master would look like. Sometimes 1st gen or even master can look bad due to bad camcorder. This one definitely hasn't been through hell, it's 1st gen at max and rendered at maximum possible quality to match the TH-cam algorithms (with upscaling).
@@TrulyStuckerThis is 2nd gen probably, the halos on the edges prove it, the other option is that it comes from a mini dv tape badly transfered or transfered to vhs (you know, maybe somebody who didn't have dvd back in the day asked for a vhs copy and it was him who liberated it)
Jari had originally meant to continue with Ensiferum until the live shows following Iron conflicted with the timing of the recording of the Wintersun debut. It's not that he was unable or unwilling to participate in the studio activities of more than one band. Ensiferum was forced to replace him to tour the Iron album cycle while it was still new.
@@CovntFapula-uc1gl James Hetfield, the vocalist and primary guitarist on Metallica recordings. The first two Ensiferum albums derive a lot of their thrash metal side from Jari's Metallica influence. I think I remember hearing that Metallica covers helped teach him how to sing in the beginning. A "Hetfield" as a colloquial noun is someone who excels at the multitasking harsh vocals/thrash guitar role.

Jari's Wintersun albums are better than anything Ensiferum released with or without him. It would be better for Ensiferum if he stayed, but Jari is clearly not a follower type of person and needs full creative control.

Look up ferrum aeternum and listen to it, and compare it with what they were playing here from 0:23 till 01:25. Granted that they played only a small section from Ferrum Aeternum, the introductory tune is exactly the same, except for the addition of the snare drum beat - that is of course, before Token Of Time starts at 01:25
@@dreamxxx333mmm2 Yeah it's definitely Ferrum Aeternum - Jari wrote a lot of his stuff for Wintersun in the 90s so no surprise that they already had an intro by the time they released the first Ensiferum album
It really was the best concert venue of its time in Helsinki. It's a damn shame they demolished it; looking back I feel honored to have had the chance to see a lot of great shows there.
Thanks for the upload man, that's really awesome to watch! I'd love to see some sort of reunion tour with Jari playing songs from their first two albums, if not in their entirety. If you have some popcorn, I suggest checking out Wintersun’s comment sections. Usually, somebody explains the situation better and with more details than I just did. :-)

I'll reply you as a dude who filmed over 200 shows under different circumstances in different clubs and countries. Most of the times if you film on camera (not cellphone), it's forbidden. So you can't just concentrace on filming a show, you have to ALWAYS be careful about security guys, plus sometimes if you film from a pit, there might be an action near you, a lot of things can discract. Most people who watch audience recordings for some reason do not consider these points. - This particular show looks like a stealth shot, filmer hid his camera and didn't look at videoscreen all the time, that's why it has so little zooms. At the same time it's the ONLY full Ensiferum show with Jari that caught on camera, so the one who did it is the legend nonetheless. - In my footage I always concentrate on solos when nothing distracts me.

This is absolute pure gold, and it sounds incredible compared to what one could expect of the video quality
The video has been through hell, the master probably looks much better. Video suffers more than audio from VHS generation and digital compression.

Ensiferum released music too regulary for his taste. Jari needed his own band to release 2.5 records in 20 years.
