I use a fairly ancient (circa 1940's?) Esterbrook Fountain Pen. I just started calligraphy, but I got the pen as a present from my friend. I am super grateful and blessed to have such a gift, as my friend had recently passed away.
I very much enjoyed your video (and the bloopers 🤣). One fountain pen that I love and own is the Rotring calligraphy set. A bit expensive, but great for learning. But the Pilot are unbeatable. Thanks for the time and effort to produce and share your experience.
I like parallel pens, but as a left handed person- they are a real pain to get results from. The flat edge makes it quite hard to angle correctly without coating your arm in ink. I would love it if the brought out a angled nib (like the markers you showed).
Tombow fudenosuke brush pen and pilot parallel are my MVPs.. I progressed very fast with the fudenosuke, and literally fell in love with lettering thanks to the pilot parallel..
Great video, thank you for taking the time to make the video and for sharing your knowledge and opinions. I was very happy to see the Pilot Parallels at #1 - I have four of them and find them incredible to use!!!
I would like to give my advice to who are new to calligraphy is that till now if you don't have a pen, no problem . You have to just keep writing with whatever pen you have and I am sure by this way you will master calligraphy. #KeepWriting
It was so fun seeing you with all those pens in your hands! That was so cool! :) but I think you could take a box of crayolas & create a masterpiece!!! Thank you for sharing!
The marker is the better material for begining and the cut is verry Nice With the type in nylon hard THE best marker is the heggeshell and the jumbo pilot the Caligrafitis master And the grog kutter 1"cm refillable Posca 1cm 5 And artline 1"cm Thank you for the True school of hand styler
My very favorite too is pilot parallel pens, then broad nib pen , as well as oblique . Have several still work carefully but arthritis is visiting and I really am trying to stay away from that sneaky feller. 😁
Good video! I like to use the noodler’s Ahab for practicing copper plate. Pilot Parallel for calligraphy and black lettering and for everyday writing I use a Parker Vector or a Schaefer fountain pen. Keep up the good work, I enjoy the channel. Stay healthy!
I have a set of parallels but prefer simple Speedball broad nibs which I find work more reliably (I need to try some different inks with the parallels). I have some stub nib fountain pens that are fine for some hands. Corners aren’t as crisp, but for Uncial they’s fine. I do want to try Practik pens before much longer.
Good afternoon, thanks for another nice bite of rich calligraphy mmmm. My pole position is N°1 Pilot Pararell P. N°2 rouling pen N°3 brush pen ecoline. ✍️ 👏🏻👏🏾👏🏻👏🏾👏🏻👏🏾👏🏾👏🏻👏🏻
nice videos bro, i began to using permanent markers, and custon self made pens with the can of spray and a stick using chinesse ink, making foward and practice ans now y really like the windows markers and grafiiti writter and jumbo pilots but soon i'll get paraller pen pilot greatings from mexico
I love the PPP! It teaches me the basics. Since I am advanced, it's not boring to work with... It works so nice. So clean, so exactly. But I love brush pens too! The hottest shit are white permanent brush pens! I got one from Faber Castell, the Pitt Artist Pen brush, and one from uni Posca. The Posca works with a acryl hair tip, the FC with soft sponge tip in brush form. Now I can write on stone, wood or whatever in brush style. There after I can cover the white with colour and use the white like a grounder or primer. But pure white is nice also... I have a question. What kind of colour do you use in the video, in the PPP writing green on black paper?! The original PPP colours only work on white paper! Please explain your magic! 😀
I love them all. I use the speedball C series nibs for broad-edge calligraphy and for brush calligraphy I like the Pentel Pocket Brush Pen since it has actual bristles and you can reload it. By the way you should post some brush calligraphy videos, I haven't seen those on a while.
Check out for TH-cam videos and tutorials. What's your favorite letter? Do it. Buy an PPP. With this pen you get an description. Try, proof, start! It will work! 😀
I use the Pilot parallel. I want to get into Copperplate, but unsure if I can use them or will need an off-site. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
Love your videos! I learned from Michael Sull a master penman and in college classes. I love my chisel point markers, bamboo brush, Speedball nibs/ holder and had a Pelican pen... need a new one. What is the brand name of your number one pick?
Hi, you mention that there would be links to the pens mentioned and where to buy them but I'm afraid I cannot find the links in the description. Please add the links.
Excellent content. I love Calligraphy since boyhood but your channel really inspired to me and nowadays, I practice everyday. I dream of becoming a professional calligrapher. If everything's normal, I'll order some products from Calligraphy Masters on Amazon.com. Thanks 🙂

I mostly use a broad edge nib because italic is what I get asked to do most often. Thanks for keeping the channel going -- love it!
Thank you for the support and #KeepWriting
It would be great if Pilot made more than four sizes, one larger and one smaller than those already available. These are very easy to use. No mess.
There are more than 4 PPP sizes!
I think There are 6 differenzes.
I'm not sure, but I think the blue one stay's the biggest.
It's a pitty...
