Pierce T Please share and pass it around. Im sure there are others but the algorithm suppresses a lot of stuff. Shameless plug, but did you see the railgrinder drone footage i uploaded? Thanks for your intrest🤙
I use to help run one of these and there wasn’t much of a waste line. The 09 and bds usually follow to help balance the track out and finish a good ballast line. They was only there to help smooth out the ballast they had just dumped.
@@rcmadness247 I'm thinking the ballast was already in pretty good shape. It seems this machine is designed to dig out the ballast and remove any dirt/fines that may have settled in there. The fines are sifted out at the end and dumped off to the side but there wasn't much of it.
Never tire of watching this one and the other one you put up. Keep 'em coming!
Finally a video within the last 3 years of loram on TH-cam

That's one heck of a rig. Very interesting! TYFS
It's hard to tell if it actually made ANY improvements.
I think the purpose is to remove finer material in preparation for the next phase of maintenance equipment

Too bad ccrx 6700 couldn't get this loram unit to clean his ballast. Doesn't look like much in the way of fines...
