Sometimes it makes me feel like giving up. I have to advocate for myself and am learning how to in a polite but tactful way. Looking for any tips or ideas anyone may have. Thank you for this video.

I was able to give up pain meds cold turkey once I found cannabis. I was on high dose of the Fentanyl patch as well as Dilaudid and the like. I'm MUCH smarter on weed than on traditional pain meds. And CBD, well, that doesn't get you high at all, just does wonders for pain. It's expensive though, and I cannot always afford it.

Have had Ms and chronic pain for over 30 years. Never out of pain ever it's bad most of the time. The medical profession can say and do what they like I have tried possible pain medication. None of it works expect this is the same for most people with MS that experience chronic. Have tried cannabis doesn't seem to help with the pain. But I can handle it better when smoking cannabis

Great video! I haven't been diagnosed with MS but I have chronic pain and fatigue that has suddenly come on 2 years ago that has been absolutely debilitating to the point I can't work anymore. Doctors haven't been able to find a cause of my pain yet. Much of the pain in nerve related so really this could be all in my head. Medications help only a small percentage. I'm currently in pain management making my way through every treatment option available. It is very depressing to say the least. I enjoyed watching the video. Good advice. :) Thank you. ♡

These videos are excellent and have given me so much information about MS. That has been has been very reassuring, knowing what can happen and how MS is managed, along with the fact that there are neurologists out there who specialize in MS. Thanks for your very interesting article, here are a few more tips for a treatment for MS
    Get plenty of rest
Exercising, yoga, tai chi, meditation, deep breathing, hypnosis,
Use green juice, wheatgrass, fresh organic fruits and vegetables, etc.
Some things to avoid if you have ms are alcohol, dairy products, eggs, commercially prepared and fast foods, margarine, milk, red meats, commercial salt, sugar, aspartame.
(I discovered these and why they work from Denelle Multi Care website )

Someone needs to do some fact checking on the dangers of cannabis smoking. If anyone really is concerned with smoke. You can use a vaporizer that does not create any combustion. My response to cognitive problems would be. That's a very minor side effect compared to the pain I am in without it. I always have to laugh at that one. It's a fairly minor cost compared to the increase in my quality of life.

      Cannabis did help me with:
      -double vision
      -Eye pain
      -Confusion
      -Depression
Though they made my balance worsen; temporarily. Personally, I totally believe it should be prescribed as a medication for MS patients, to save us the pain and the misery.
Because of the ban on mairjuana, getting it becomes harder especially if one is disabled, and the depression makes other drugs like tobacco and alcohol more tempting to ease the pain and confusion; despite their destructive effect to MS patients.

yujin ito I have tried many medications. Opiates Gabapentin Cymbalta Lyrica and those are just a few all these medications I had adverse reaction to what was supposed to help my pain increased it or made me very very ill. The only one thing that helps taper off where I can function is cannabis. The CBD helps with my memory impairment also helps with brain fog the THC helps with the pain the combination of both is the only thing that helps me from day-to-day.

I have a disagreement with this video on the stance on opioid use to treat pain in Ms. The 1 pain I can not use mind over matter, heat therapy, meditation, and other drugs in the nerve pain in my legs that has been one of my longest symptoms and the only one that has persisted over the last 24 years. The ONLY thing I have found to lessen the pain and make like bearable.... is ULTRAM. I deal with every other pain.... that one puts me in the hospital 36hrs after my last dose... and no it's not detox as I can go 9 months and it's still there.....also thc is the ONLY way I'm currently able to pee swallow and other bodily functions and if I'm aware of the strands it actually improves my cognitive abilities... more research needs to be put into both of these areas of medicine, and hear from people who have long term use.... including during life events like pregnancy ect.... I'd be glad to share my experiances

    • @sryburn641

Katie, YES! I was prescribed Tylenol 3.... nothing. Then hydrocodone.......nothing. then Ultram(tramedol).....BAM! Relief! Not complete relief of course, but enough to have some quality of life.
Trying to have my new doctor orescribe this for me but since I had marijuana in my blood work a couple months ago I have to pass a drug screen or she won't prescribe it for me. I go in tomorrow to hopefully pass the drug test. I guess there's alot of liability on doctors nowadays that prescribe scheduled meds.
I hope you are getting by and feeling better. Thank you for your comment.

@@sryburn641 I seriously do not understand the use of ultram for addiction. I make it a point to read the drug pamphlets, research the studies done and understand not only the risks but the way it works, why, and how. From what I have read Ultram works systemically. Meaning is works in the body instead of at the brain receptor blocking point. I have never felt a high from this med. It has never helped muscle pain say in my back, and it didn't help the pain in my foot when I broke it spontaneously falling, either time ect. The only pain it has ever helped with is nerve related pain. That med has kept me from literally going insane from nerve pain... You know that kind of pain that makes you want to grab a hack saw and remove the painful limb??? Ya, that pain...
I have a primary that have a willing to prescribe my ultram. I am transparent on what is required to be able to function is including the use of THC. Fortunantly there is no set guidelines at his office prohibiting him from being my pain dr. Additionally, I am not drug tested. It took over 8years to find him after I lost my drs with the Obama care movement. (That's 8 years of pain ty Obama). The good drs are out there u just have to go threw WAY to many to find the drs that actually practice medicine not to follow guidelines. Somewhere they forgot about the a-typicals, and that no 2 people are the same and no pain looks the same-threw meditation ive ya gained control of my pulse and heart rate some so even in pain it functions at a lower rate or I'd be hospitalized for tachycardia.... And can't wait til its time for real medical reform, and not to just access to the medical community we have
