    Great information, especially the part about mixed pilots on a hillside flying together.
    Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

    Thoughts on a 22 or 26 used for XC flying/thermals. Collapse recovery etc... thanks for the very informative video!

      If you are >=75kg the 26 is usually the way to go.

    Experienced Kitesurfer here. I see great potential in adding this to my reportoire. Do you think a basic Paragliding course is sufficient, if I continue to learn during those moustache travels of one of your partners? I see myself spending most time at the ocean and not sure if I ever wanna get into all the thermal flying.

      We recommend a paragliding course on top. You will learn the airspace restrictions, way of right in the air, how to avoid collision, hot to make a proper landing approach, ... With kitesurfing background you will pick up the flying itself a lot faster

🤷🏼‍♂️ Cheers

    Great tips! Have you encountered any close calls when flying nearby others on the ground? I find that lines on tip can go too close of comfort darn easily. Especially when turning, so increased margin is recommended compared to normal paragliders.

      Yes. Keep distance is important and I also ignore it too much sometimes

    I'm currently studying the epsilon 9 paraglider the biggest one they got because I'm so fat I have to have the heaviest fattest weight limit I'm just barely low enough that my insurance is good. I'm trying to learn as much as I can buy watching videos before I go back for more ground handling this summer. This is very interesting how it flies so well but this heavy weights on small amounts of square yards lead to something that likes to do a spiral dive. This thing will always be beyond my skills I'll never be a pilot good enough to fly that. I just want to go around like an old Cadillac big old lowrider epsilon 9. I heard pilot error is the worst problem it looks to me like I'd have a bad pilot error problem if I ever tried to fly that wing

      Groundhandling is the best to learn how to handle any wing. If you see a Moustach, as to groundhandle it. 26 would be the best size with your weight. You can fly it slowly or fast. That is up to you

      @@ArminHarich the fates have decided. I have an epsilon 9 and I'm flying heavy on it. I went to the school and I did some ground handling it didn't go well at all and I hit the ground or and then the wind wasn't with me and I didn't get to go back very soon. I got another Wing at a garage sale but I have an unpacked it was 100 bucks and I have a little tiny speed harness that came with it. I'm going to go out and try to fly it but I'm not going to strap it on and get plucked buy something.

      We recommend soaring for the beginning to dial into the system.

    • @ArminHarich
      @ArminHarich  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why. Podharness gives with fast wings better glide

      Das kann ich gut verstehen. Wir bringen noch einen 26er. Der ist entspannt aber man hat die Kontrolle.
