This is exactly the advice and instruction I'm looking for right now! Excellent examples, and very smart to show how they work with a singer. And Lia, thank you for being so patient, letting Jeremy interrupt the hypnotic mood and emotion you created so that he can talk and explain. Your voice is so soothing! Thanks to both of you. I'm going to keep coming back to watch this video. You are both so generous with your talent and knowledge!
Gorgeous video. The bit at 11:52 actually stole my breath away, and I had to comment. I'll be trying to learn from you for as long as I can. Thank you for all you share.
I have a question that came up when you were playing the peace peace version. It sounds like you are not playing strictly in time. Even at the beginning she came in it felt “late” but you waited for her. Am I imaging this?
Yeah, the time can be stretchy without being “rubato/out of time.” It’s sometimes nice to have a little push and pull like a pianist might have when they play Chopin.
Oh my god, this was absolutely beautiful!!! You were both amazing! I LOVED Lia!
Yay, thanks, Lon! Lia is a star!
the accompaniment at @17:00... well, i mean.. that's just gorgeous
Thank you! I love working with Lia!
Jeremy, you need to work on your "disaster piano", it's still quite good.
Lol, I guess I'll keep practicing. Or not practicing? 🤷♂️
Outstanding content. The "piece piece' method is something I think I can attempt. I should say also that Lia is a fabulous singer.
Awesome - the "Peace Piece" method is so calming! Enjoy!
Thanks 😊
Lia is FANTASTIC! Would love to hear the two of you live (or as part of her next album).
Thanks, Greg! We’re going to make some performance videos next week. I’ll keep you updated!
