It’s better for the bears not to get too comfortable with humans, or get used to their smell, their voices, etc. if they don’t find humans scary, they really won’t do well when they get released back into the wild. Bears who get too close to humans tend to get shot in a country where everyone has a gun. 😢
I didn’t know it was ok for wildlife rehabbers to be so closely engaged with bears like that. Won’t they imprint on humans when you play and bottle feed them like that? You don’t wear an outfit or anything so that the bears don’t grow up feeling comfortable around human presence?
@DorisDay-lw4xsI wasn’t saying they didn’t know what they were doing, lady. I was just wondering how their actions didn’t affect bear’s behavior in the future.

Bear cubs are the cutest things in the world. It’s on my bucket list to get to play with one of these. 5 minutes is all I want, lol.
