Like Yoongi said it’s so lonely up there, on top. The swan feels small now that his shadow/wings are gone. *The swan goes back “down” to the ground level, where his figurative demons start attacking him again, but now he is no longer helpless. He fights them and turns them into his wings controlling them. The dancers in black begin to copy his movements instead of holding the swan back. The swan goes back to the exact same pose where he started but the demons are no longer dragging him down, but lifting him up to soar. He has control over his emotions, shadow, ego and passion hence the ending pose. He hasn’t let fear stop him from loving his passion even after facing his demon, shadows and thoughts from others. Like Jungkook said “I rather die than live without passion.” This is the BTS we love ARMY!!!💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜
Here they’re displaying the meaning behind the track, Jimin shows it through his solo freestyle dancing reflecting their shadows since he’s the black swan and brings out his wings (which wasn’t part of the original choreography) this particular choreography was done by brailizan dancer along with their company’s personal choreographer Mr. Son Sun-Deuk where then Jimin helps the others since it’s more his element but Hobi & JK can also do it. I also noticed Jin’s reflection didnt move within the mirrors when he turned around 👀 *The song is very sad even though it may not appear that way, it’s about a dancer who dies twice after they stop dancing but the first death is most painful* BTS most scariest fear is one day they’ll lose the passion for music and dance, making them die their first death.* THIS IS AWHOLE NEW LEVEL FOR THEM WITH A MORE GROWN UP MATURE VISUALS AND OUTFITS THAT ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD WITH THEM SWITCHING BACK & FORTH FROM LIGHT AND DARK. *If you’ve seen the Black Swan movie with Natalie Portman then which explains why they filmed and danced in a theatre setting* IN FACT: After watching it a couple times RM got inspired by it and decided to written a song about the sacrifice an artist makes when they stop performing!
