Good listening to that, we too have lived in the whole messy situation for a while looking forward too sorting it out and getting it right for us. Good going go steady
I also claim the maker title, but video is now a big part of it. I have done metal, wood, leather, stained glass ,and sewing over the years. But video is the first think that I have been able to do that isn't just for me. I can now share the love of Christ and help spread the gospel. And like you I now have a way to share my making
Really cool to see your honest insights and knowing what you want and doing things like TH-cam as an auxiliary to your true passion. As a new business owner it’s refreshing to hear your realities and focusing on what matters works in the end!
Love the insight Levi! TH-cam definitely isn't the end-all be-all for everyone, myself included. I'd definitely like to grow my channel more, to have a place to talk about projects, try new things, and be creative with, but also have a normal filmmaking career as well. It's a tough balance sometimes, but an important one for all creators!
Congrats on the birth of your son. Massive respect for bearing your all in your videos. You keep it real, for better and for worse. Stay awesome and take more time than you think with your family. My boy is 6 and it went fast having a business and two other children.
It's so crazy when the youtube algorithm have you come across a random channel whose owner happens to be the big brother from a host family you met in Canada 13 years ago😆 it's just insane..!! Great to see you Levi, AND James:)
Yeah it is!! And yes, please do that for me😉 I am doing well in Korea, and I've noticed you are now a daddy of two kids👍 Congrats man!! God bless them all.
Great video Levi, as someone who has just started a channel to share our new adventure of moving to Russia from Australia. I could really understand the creator balance you talked about, so many new skills to learn, but do it in a way that it doesn't kill your creativity. Congratulations on your new son, what a great blessing.
Thanks for sharing that part about YT famous. When I got serious with making videos last year, the YT analytics gave me an incredible amount of anxiety. I had no work because of the pandemic and I thought my project idea would quickly catch the eyes of enough people to get into the monetizing game. Man was I wrong! Luckily my life as a DJ picked back up, but my video series has taken on a new life and I love it even more now that I don’t have to worry about it making money. So I get what you mean by saying not wanting to be YT famous. Many ppl, such as myself, don’t realize the amount of grinding and luck that goes into even getting 100 people to watch your videos. I mean, imagine if 100 ppl were in a movie theater watching your video. That’s pretty cool! If there’s anyone upset with their numbers, think of it that way and please don’t get caught up in the analytics 🙏
Loved hearing about your journey man. Opening my eyes to other opportunities i never thought of and more importantly, inspiring to find my own running buddies. Thanks for the incredible info, looking forward to meet you on a sail boat someday haha!
Congratulations on YT milestone. I love your energy and enthusiasm to build stuff. I mostly did still photography in my younger days. No intention of doing any video professionally, but I've picked up a lot of tips and techniques watching your channel. Thank you for all you share.
Seems to me if you are doing as well as you are and growing doing what you’re doing you should be able to continue. When my overland rig is done I will come and take one of your courses. Can’t wait!!
You may not want to be famous but I was that dude in the international terminal in SF the other day, about to hop a flight to Van, that gave you a bro nod instead of saying what's up in hopes of respecting your privacy. Cool running into you! I really enjoy your work.
Love the mindset! This is what we are introducing to our daughter. Ok more so she is introducing it to us... imagine a 10 yr old's constant persistence since the age of 4 of trying to get her parents to let her start her own channel. So our journey is starting with a documentary. This way other parents can join us. Would love to have her interview you.
This video made my week. I'm just starting into the realm of creating my own channel. I really like what you said about "not being a filmmaker first". I'm the 5th generation of my family's business, and that has to come first. But that's closely followed by my love of fabrication and that neverending itch to go somewhere new. I just think video is such a cool way to share a story, and the massive skillset and amount to learn that comes with it is the icing on top for me. Thanks for hitting record and getting personal with us on this one! :)
After spending time on Zodiacs in my Marine Corps days about a decade ago I've always really wanted to pick one up that I could throw in the truck or trailer and take it anywhere we go. You're living many of our dreams! I know life gets hard off camera sometimes but thanks for all you do and share, my man! Appreciated!
It was a dream of mine for so long too! I found one on marketplace that was a great deal and I knew I had to spring on it! I hope there is some Dinghy fun in your future
Maybe you could make shorter videos. A little of this and a little of that. Congrats on the birth of your son and the unexpected growth of your channel.
Levi: You talk to much. I don't know what others think but eyes see quicker than the words will explain. I don't know your objectives about what you are trying to accomplish. However I am willing to listen. I believe there are lots of things that we can learn from each other. If I got into You Tube I don't know how I would approach it. Keep up the effort and congratulations on the milestone.
There’s gradients right : ) like the channels at the 500-5mill level are just a different beast altogether to run. If we end up there some day I want some time to be better equipped for that pressure before it arrives

That is wild Tim! What a hilarious coincidence. I hope you are doing well. I’ll tell James you said Hi!

This was so cool levi, thought it was clickbait, but stayed for the genuine content and you just seem like a good dude
best of luck
So much good stuff in this Levi ! Thank you for it ! Best days to you and all your family !
Really enjoyed this video, thanks for the insight dude. Glad things are going well, great to see some positivity.

As a former film maker (way before YT and even digital) I really enjoy this channel.
Really appreciated the video! Thanks for being so transparent and giving me some motivation to get making!

Thanks for answering my question dude!
Congrats on your growth Levi! I’ve always wondered why you didn’t have hundreds of thousands of subs. Finally! Justice!

Dude, congrats on the growth... it's been cool seeing your journey roll along!
More to come!
Thank you for sharing. I’m a late starter to TH-cam. I needed to hear this. Been following you for several years, but I like this direction. Cheers!
This is exactly how I've felt about it for the longest time. So good!

I'm just enjoying the color grade on this episode, just beautiful to watch. If I could get mine to look half as good on my B roll I'd be happy.

Follow your heart. Not what everyone else thinks you should be doing.
Phenomenal insight, thank you for sharing. 👊👍🙏
You’ve ended up as my favorite creator❤️
Well deserved. You create great content. Thank you
I ran into you while the couple was building the wood frame house on top of the garage. Very great footage.
Were you one of the attendees?
@@Levi_Allen No, but I watched all of it.
Ok Levi, I need to know. Where did you get your rear window with the vent. I have a T1N and Ive been looking for them all over and I can't find it
Great vid. Thanks for sharing Levi.
A link to the bags your boat and accessories are in please! My father in law needs something like that desperately.
Special thanks for the Why I don't Want to Be TH-cam Famous part of your video. It was extremely helpful. :-)
Inspiring bro! Thank you much
You brought a new camera. It looks damn good.
Same camera for a year now : )
Do you think that 20 foot sea container can be installed on a trailer and turned into a portable home?
Levi! Fun vid. Hope you’re well sir.
Thanks Ryan! I hope you are doing great as well
very well said. keep making, god bless
ur GOATED greatest of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really enjoy your videos and insight. I’m also working toward organization. Its a journey. LOL
Thanks for sharing!
Good job on an honest video 😉👍🏻
You are awesome.
i love this!!!
I'm interested to see where the channel goes now that you've hired a stunt double (0:49) :D
A LevRack system would be dope in the container
Bout the shop, you should see “Laura Kampf” channel. She has a nice system.
info on the inflatable dingy? buddy just bought a tug and needs something.
loved how you just left the reekin' fuel sitting as you opened up the dingy....
And?
@@Levi_Allen it just made me laugh :)
Nice hat!
Thank you!
Maybe you could make shorter videos. A little of this and a little of that. Congrats on the birth of your son and the unexpected growth of your channel.
What is age gap between your babies?
"there is gas in my dingy bags"... seriously.. nothing?!?!?!
Shouldn't your brother been you're first subscriber and not your 10,000th
Nah this was years ago. He didn’t even have a TH-cam account, he made one specifically to help me hit 10k : )
Yeah… whatever nobody can convince me that this isn’t Ashton Kutcher

When a famous guy explains to us how he doesn’t want to be famous. Lol. Congratulations on your unwanted growth Levi.
