Hi Prof, thanks for this helpful video. I'm just learning LCA and am a bit confused about the 'save class membership' function. At about 11 minutes into your video you say that class 3 has around 15.3% of the total population share. However, when you run descriptives at about 14 minutes, it shows that class 3 has the largest share of the population (around 36.5%). I'm getting the same type of mismatch when I run my own analysis. There may be an obvious explanation that I'm missing but I'd really appreciate any insight you have into this! Thankyou :)
HI, Prof. I was able to run the LPA using Jamovi. Thanks a lot. However, I want to know how to find class size index in latent profile analysis using JAMOVI as well as the LRT and the adjusted LRT. It appears the only fit indices in jamovi latent profile analysis are: AIC, BIC, BLRT-p. I really appreciate your kindness
For class size, click 'Save' --> 'Class membership'. The memberships will be saved in the datafile as a new variable. Run simple frequency analysis on the newly created variable to get the class size and %.
Hi. Thank for your tutorial, it's actually excellent. I have questions. How sensible are the index of fit ( AIC, BIC, BLRT-p, and others) to the size of sample? For instance, I have a data base with 100.000 datas, Is it recomendable LCA in this case? @Statistics&Theory
They are very similar in practice. The main difference between them is that latent profile analysis applies to continuous response variables, whereas LCA applies to categorical ones.
Hello and thanks for the tutorial! I got the red error "non-numeric argument to binary operator" when adding my variables. Could you please help me what is the reason?
Hello, thank you for the tutorial! I have encountered a problem... On my jamovi, when I download snowRMM, I do not have the LCA test... I have looked online and I can't seem to find a solution. Do you know how I could solve this?
hI PROF I am from Peru it made possible for me to understand to you about the cluster analysis although my native language is not English but I have understood it
Thanks for this video. But I have encountered a problem. I have a dataset consisting of 3129 rows and 18 columns/variables (6 = ordinal, 12 = nominal). I tried LCC with the Jamovi latest version software. An error message pops up -- "arguments imply differing number of rows: 3,4,2,5,7", how to solve this problem?
Loved the tutorial. Quick question. Can (should) one do latent class analysis with mean scores from 5-point scales AFTER rounding them to the nearest integer?
Hello and thanks for the tutorial. However when I try to do the LCA in Jamovi, I get "This analysis has terminated, likely due to hitting a resource limit." Do you know how to fix this? Or can that be due to the fact that I only have 45 observations for 7 variables (I am working with Likert-scale 7 items score). Thank you
Great video! - with LCA it is hard to find a clean tutorial - this iis the best. many thanks!
A very useful video. A similar video of Jamovi's snowLatent module would be great!

Hey there, thank for the tutorials - really helpful. Do you know of a way to do latent profile analysis to do this with continuous data?
You might want to use Latent Gold.
@@VahidAryadoust Is there absolutely NO LPA option in Jamovi??

Can Jmovi estimate abilities?
❤️❤️❤️
Professor, can I do LPA with Jamovi?
Hi, I enjoyed your class here. I want to know if jamovi can be used for latent profile analysis. Thanks
Yes, use the same snowRMM module for latent profile analysis.
Hello. Thank you very much for your useful tutorials. I had a few questions, where can I ask you personally?
Hi prof. May you explain that what are the differences between latent cluster analysis and latent profile analysis?
They are very similar in practice. The main difference between them is that latent profile analysis applies to continuous response variables, whereas LCA applies to categorical ones.

It probably means your variable are not continuous. Change their type to continuous.
@@VahidAryadoust thank you so much! Very helpful software

Sorry I cannot figure out the issue. Please get in touch with the developer.
Found it! For those wondering, you have to have the latest jamovi version, the 1.6.23 does not work with LCA.
how about parameters estimation with EM & NR, is there ?
I did not see them.

I am not sure about the error. I suggest you get in touch with the developer.

I suggest rounding should not be done.
Hi! Thanks for the video. I get an error message that says "dim(x) must have a positive lenght". Do you know what may be wrong?
Not sure what error it is, but please ensure your variables are the right scale (continuous) and do not have errors and miskeyed-in integers in them.
