I’m roughly the same level as the guy who ‘beat you’ and, for sure, no one at that level gets 97% accuracy in even a daily game, let alone a 10 minute game against a GM.
Ya the cheating does happen man that's why I don't feel like playing rapid anymore they take seconds just to make moves that are obvious (That doesn't mean they are cheating but finding the best moves flipping 23 times is insane)
Yes it's normal for low levels to cheat. Even the players you don't think cheat are cheating. Just follow the games with an engine. They play the best moves constantly. Alot of it goes unpunished. It's not normal to be able to play this well against a GM as a 1300 even if they do blunder and lose. For example, some use their notes or an opening book to play the opening. Some just cheat for a few moves. Some cheat all game. Some cheat to defend very well after a blunder. That stuff doesn't get caught, but a normal 1300 isnt going to be able to do anything against engine use. Alot of the time you say "That move isnt good" But it's the top engine move. I'm not trying to sound crazy and pull a vlad accusing everyone, but when you start analyzing the games you see how frequent it happens. Like, you are a GM so you can deal with this. Imagine being a new 1200 to chess and having to solve these stockfish level ideas thrown at you.
